I have stayed at this location numerous times and each time I come I see improvements which is great. Now just to get a new shower head and get the knobs on the oven fixed that would be wonderful! I did have problems with both TV's and had someone from the office come out to look at the TV in the bedroom and she couldn't figure it out either. She said she would call the owner and get back to me which she never did. Other than that it was a great stay as always.

We loved our stay, the ocean views were truly incredible and the home had everything we needed. It is in good condition, clean and inviting for a fair price. The only issue for someone in our group is they had no service on phone and homes WiFi didn’t work. We asked about WiFi and were told sometimes it goes out. For ppl who need connectivity this may be an issue but we had general phone service and loved to unplug it was still a great experience!

This place is ideal for 2 couples. The location is great and the view can’t be beat. This year there were a few pieces of new furniture but over the years nothing has changed. There were some maintenance frusation.

Beautiful location. Ocean views galore. It was a rainy stay but no matter. Cambria is always a great serene stay.
The only thing that needs to be upgraded is the fireplace. Can you say GAS LOG FIREPLACE?

This house was the perfect place for our Cambria getaway. The ocean view was gorgeous, and along with the cool breeze and crashing waves we couldn't have asked for a better experience in this cozy house. It had everything we needed for comfort, and we particularly enjoyed the fireplace. We also love this neighborhood -- a little more in the trees and quiet. The house was lovely to come home to after a day out. We enjoyed the tour at Stepladder Creamery, shopping in town and a visit to Stolo for afternoon wine. There are so many other great things to do but relaxing in a house like this makes it tempting to just hang out. Breen is always top-notch and their hospitality is unmatched in Cambria. Thank you for a wonderful stay -- can't wait to come back.

This was our second stay at heavenly ocean view. The view is indeed, heavenly. In fact, it’s breathtaking. The home is bright and clean. Only issues is the bedroom slider doors are a bit hard to open, but we enjoy sitting out on the main upstairs balcony anyhow. On this trip straight in front of the house, we were able to enjoy watching whales through our binoculars, it was amazing. Breen staff are always very friendly. Will certainly stay in this home again and would recommend it to others.

The views are spectacular. Very comfortable. Loved seeing the deer roaming the neighborhood.
I have a few suggestions: the sliding doors & screens were very difficult to open. Maybe provide coffee for the coffee maker. Also for Christmas add a Christmas tree for decor ��

Exactly what I said when I saw the view, Just Heaven! Charming house, comfortable and very clean with everything we needed. Enjoyed beautiful sunsets as well as ocean views! Master bedroom has relaxing seating area to read with great ocean view; we were unable to open the patio door to the deck from this room but enjoyed the deck from living room area. Breen was advised of the issue before we left. Second bedroom has patio door and deck area with stairs that lead down to grassy area in back where we had the treat of several deer visiting! So glad to see the tv's were upgraded to flat screens unlike what is pictured in photos! We had a wonderful time here and will be back! Breen staff is always helpful and a pleasure to see! pleasure

what a pleasant place to stay.... very well located.....did i mention the view? the sunsets were epic. there were games to play in the closet(we forgot to bring ours) and my family and i had so many laughs putting down our phones and playing some old fashioned board games. we drove up to Hearst Castle one day and Big Sur the next day. The weather was beautiful and so was the drive.

Loved the view! It was very peaceful & quite. Saw deer and walked along the ocean cliffs. House its self was very clean, but could use some updates from looking like it was stu ck in the 80's. However it had everything you needed and you for get that it needs to be updated once you are looking at the view.

We stayed here for 5 days and had a great time. The View is great, the bluff trail is like a minute walk away, so are some tide pools. Downtown was about a 10 minute drive so that was also easy. Rooms were spacious and the bed was comfortable enough. I'd return here.

This was one of the best places we have ever stayed. This home offered everything you could possibly need or want. But the frosting on the cake was the incredible view! Heavenly views from every room.
Too windy to sit out on the decks ( yes views from both floors) no worries... just sit on the couch, put your feet up and enjoy your complimentary bottle of wine and Gods artwork.

The view is beautiful and hearing the waves crashing is so soothing. This home was clean and inviting yet it could use some updates on some of the furniture, especially the couch in the master bedroom. The beds were very comfortable. There is no air conditioning and the one little fan provided did not work. We weren't sure if it was the fan or the outlets we tried which were faulty. One control on the stove didn't work well and made it difficult to turn off that burner. Bring your own seasonings; coffee and tea. The view is what makes this property stand out.

This spacious two-bedroom house has wonderful ocean views. Our guests had a lovely time. The property is well maintained, but we were unable to get the dryer to work. There are just 4 chairs at the dining table, however we were able to squeeze 2 more guests at the table using plastic chairs from the deck.

We came over at the height of the "shelter in place" order. We were confident that we would be safe, as would the Cambria community. The view from our deck alleviated A LOT of virus related stress. Janine was much friendlier and helpful than the first woman I talked to earlier in the month. That gal seemed really stressed out. We found West Side Bar and Grill friendly, good, and fast with take out food. Other take out places in Cambria; not so much. People obviously were scared; although whether they were scared of the virus, or of being reported for not following social-distancing guidelines was not clear.

The views were fantastic! We enjoyed the sunsets. We also got to see a family of deer roaming around. What a sight!

Unfortunately it was warmer than normal and no A/C. The house could use ceiling fans.

The bedrooms were very nice and roomy. They could have put a TV in the other bedroom.

The kitchen chairs need to be replaced. They are very weak.

It would have been nice to have had a table on the balcony so we could eat outside.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here, the view afforded us a different experience every morning and evening, glorious view. We turned the two chairs around, facing the sliding glass door and watched the show. The house was very clean, and it has 3 bathrooms, downstairs bedrooms each have their own full bath. One note, stairs are involved, so keep that in mind!

This home has wonderful amenities: unobstructed ocean view, 2 master bedrooms, 2 fireplaces, automatic garage, washer/dryer, quiet residential neighborhood. It was clean and well maintained. Two fixes are needed: vertical blinds in one BR would only open part way-even after straightening each panel. Refrigerator is not cold enough on the highest setting. Drinks needed ice and milk spoiled.

This was my second time staying at this property and it’s easily my favorite. I can’t say enough about the ocean views and because the house is on the edge of the forest, the wildlife is awesome. Deer everyday and we even saw a few whales off in the distance! The home is comfortable. The decks are spacious. Both bedrooms have en suite bathrooms as well as a bathroom upstairs (main level). The kitchen has everything you need to cook. There is no doubt we will be back to this house time and time again!

Wife and I were amazed the description of the property was exactly was better than described. The property was clean and neat and was spotless. There was a issue with the blinds in the master bedroom which we were advised by Breen upon our check in and it was repaired promptly by the owner. Would strongly recommend for dinner the "Sea Chest Oyster Bar" fantastic food be prepared to wait in line and they do not take credit cards. Breakfast try the Redwood Cafe and/or Creekside Gardens. Also, Las Cambritas is another good place if you want Mexican food.

One other thing to mention, m y wife is a cat lover and so we visited HART where we saw several cats and she loved playing and holding these cats.

Overall, wife and I had a great experience the property was awesome and we are looking forward to returning in the future.

Refer a friend? Not sure. Maybe if the maintenance improves, along with the quality of all plumbing fixtures. Shower door glass in Master Bath is dangerous. The doors fall out of the tracks when moving. Leaking(kitchen) and hard to adjust sink faucets. 2 of 8 bulbs out in Master Bath. 1 porch bulb burned out. Master Bath toilet seat loose enough to slide off! Invest in King beds, 2 more stools for kitchen counter, replace terrible couch in Master Bedroom (or a couple more chairs), and new and better water saving shower heads. Everthing else was fine, especially the view, but actually, the view from the downstairs Master is partially blocked by a really ugly tree. I love trees but this one is in the wrong place and very overgrown.

We love this home which is perfect for two couples. We have stayed here at least five times. The view is amazing and the house is very comfortable. We enjoy cooking so would highly recommend the owners invest in a new stove as the current one has issues; also, a new coffee maker is needed. Otherwise, it's a gem! We hope to return again next year.

We celebrated Christmas with our grown children and found the house well-stocked for all our cooking needs. The house is exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The photos do not lie. I have stayed at this home on numerous occasions as I love the view, the quietness and the cleanliness of the home. However as a another reviewer wrote, it truly needs a new bathroom shower door. The current one is very dangerous. And the mattress in the master bed is totally worn out. TV wasn't working so there should be a note on it. It's been like this for years but they seem to do nothing about it. I do a lot of my own cooking and have learned what to bring. Thought I might find some salt but not even a grain. And the glassware in the cupboard even had lipstick on it! So housekeeping needs to do more checking. Although I will continue to come back the owners need to take responsibility for some of these items that need to be fixed.

The heater went out during our stay and we called after hours and someone came right away with a space heater. The next day a heater tech came and fixed it. Appreciated the prompt service.

Gorgeous view and this home was reasonably priced for beach view property. However, I think you get what you pay for in terms of the furnishings, etc. Beds weren't great, no patio table or furniture and watch out for the railing on the balcony. Dangerous and should be replaced I think.

We enjoyed our stay at Heavenly Ocean View. Home was clean and in great condition. Location of property provides easy access to local attractions in the area. During our stay the weather was foggy so we did not get any spectacular sunsets, but even still the view from the home was great. Breen staff was helpful and friendly throughout the booking and stay. Recommend this property for those who enjoy a laid back vacation in a comfortable setting

We have rented this same house every fall for 4 or 5 years. We always find new things to do in the area.
This year we made it to the night tour at Hearst Castle. But more importantly we come away relaxed and wanting to stay longer.

Being evacuated from the Thomas Fire, we were so thankful to find refuge in the beautiful home with all the comforts of home. The views are breathtaking and listening to the comforting sound of the sea was truly wonderful. We hope to return next week, as the fires re spreading and we feel so comfortable there.

I stayed here with my mom so we could easily visit Hearst Castle. The house was better than I though it would be. It is nestled on the top of a wooded hilltop overlooking the ocean and has fantastic views. The house was carpeted and tiled and very quiet. I would definitely stay here again.

I loved this home. It was the perfect place for two couples. We totally enjoyed the convenience of the property and LOVED the views of the ocean. What a perfect place to sit outside, relax and take in the scenery. The home was also very well furnished, beds were comfortable, and was really clean. Communication from the property management company was excellent. The only downside of the property was that some of the amenities were not very well maintained: stripped knobs on the stove, water in shower went from scalding hot to icy cold for unknown reasons, and coffee pot did not work which was a major pain for our fellow coffee-drinking travelers as we had to go into town to buy coffee each morning. And I know this has been a lingering problem as I have seen it in other reviews from several months ago.

Beautiful location. Ocean views galore. It was a rainy stay but no matter. Cambria is always a great serene stay.
The only thing that needs to be upgraded is the fireplace. Can you say GAS LOG FIREPLACE?

This place is ideal for 2 couples. The location is great and the view can’t be beat. This year there were a few pieces of new furniture but over the years nothing has changed. There were some maintenance frusation.

Exactly what I said when I saw the view, Just Heaven! Charming house, comfortable and very clean with everything we needed. Enjoyed beautiful sunsets as well as ocean views! Master bedroom has relaxing seating area to read with great ocean view; we were unable to open the patio door to the deck from this room but enjoyed the deck from living room area. Breen was advised of the issue before we left. Second bedroom has patio door and deck area with stairs that lead down to grassy area in back where we had the treat of several deer visiting! So glad to see the tv's were upgraded to flat screens unlike what is pictured in photos! We had a wonderful time here and will be back! Breen staff is always helpful and a pleasure to see! pleasure

The views are spectacular. Very comfortable. Loved seeing the deer roaming the neighborhood.
I have a few suggestions: the sliding doors & screens were very difficult to open. Maybe provide coffee for the coffee maker. Also for Christmas add a Christmas tree for decor

This was our second stay at heavenly ocean view. The view is indeed, heavenly. In fact, it’s breathtaking. The home is bright and clean. Only issues is the bedroom slider doors are a bit hard to open, but we enjoy sitting out on the main upstairs balcony anyhow. On this trip straight in front of the house, we were able to enjoy watching whales through our binoculars, it was amazing. Breen staff are always very friendly. Will certainly stay in this home again and would recommend it to others.

This house was the perfect place for our Cambria getaway. The ocean view was gorgeous, and along with the cool breeze and crashing waves we couldn't have asked for a better experience in this cozy house. It had everything we needed for comfort, and we particularly enjoyed the fireplace. We also love this neighborhood -- a little more in the trees and quiet. The house was lovely to come home to after a day out. We enjoyed the tour at Stepladder Creamery, shopping in town and a visit to Stolo for afternoon wine. There are so many other great things to do but relaxing in a house like this makes it tempting to just hang out. Breen is always top-notch and their hospitality is unmatched in Cambria. Thank you for a wonderful stay -- can't wait to come back.

Great location. Clean house with amazing views and two separate bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. Nothing not to like. The smaller bedroom could use a new bed instead of the soft, noisy one in there now. Otherwise a great rental.

We stayed here for 5 days and had a great time. The View is great, the bluff trail is like a minute walk away, so are some tide pools. Downtown was about a 10 minute drive so that was also easy. Rooms were spacious and the bed was comfortable enough. I'd return here.

This was one of the best places we have ever stayed. This home offered everything you could possibly need or want. But the frosting on the cake was the incredible view! Heavenly views from every room.
Too windy to sit out on the decks ( yes views from both floors) no worries... just sit on the couch, put your feet up and enjoy your complimentary bottle of wine and Gods artwork.

Wonderful house, great views from all rooms, very spacious! Had a problem with the heat but it was resolved quickly. With a few updates this house could be great! Like bigger TV's, updated appliances and granite countertops. We would definitely rent this vacation rental again!

Loved the view! It was very peaceful & quite. Saw deer and walked along the ocean cliffs. House its self was very clean, but could use some updates from looking like it was stu ck in the 80's. However it had everything you needed and you for get that it needs to be updated once you are looking at the view.

what a pleasant place to stay.... very well located.....did i mention the view? the sunsets were epic. there were games to play in the closet(we forgot to bring ours) and my family and i had so many laughs putting down our phones and playing some old fashioned board games. we drove up to Hearst Castle one day and Big Sur the next day. The weather was beautiful and so was the drive.

Wife and I were amazed the description of the property was exactly was better than described. The property was clean and neat and was spotless. There was a issue with the blinds in the master bedroom which we were advised by Breen upon our check in and it was repaired promptly by the owner. Would strongly recommend for dinner the "Sea Chest Oyster Bar" fantastic food be prepared to wait in line and they do not take credit cards. Breakfast try the Redwood Cafe and/or Creekside Gardens. Also, Las Cambritas is another good place if you want Mexican food.

One other thing to mention, m y wife is a cat lover and so we visited HART where we saw several cats and she loved playing and holding these cats.

Overall, wife and I had a great experience the property was awesome and we are looking forward to returning in the future.

This was my second time staying at this property and it’s easily my favorite. I can’t say enough about the ocean views and because the house is on the edge of the forest, the wildlife is awesome. Deer everyday and we even saw a few whales off in the distance! The home is comfortable. The decks are spacious. Both bedrooms have en suite bathrooms as well as a bathroom upstairs (main level). The kitchen has everything you need to cook. There is no doubt we will be back to this house time and time again!

This home has wonderful amenities: unobstructed ocean view, 2 master bedrooms, 2 fireplaces, automatic garage, washer/dryer, quiet residential neighborhood. It was clean and well maintained. Two fixes are needed: vertical blinds in one BR would only open part way-even after straightening each panel. Refrigerator is not cold enough on the highest setting. Drinks needed ice and milk spoiled.

There are pros and cons to this house. Depending on what you're hoping to get out of your stay, this house could fit the bill or leave you a bit frustrated and disappointed. Cons: Probably the most poorly equipped kitchen we've ever had in a vacation rental house: Everything was old and worn and useful utensils were sparse - our cooking experience was very frustrating. Plates, glasses and bowls were a complete hodge podge. And to boot, the appliances were tired and worn as well. The refrigerator slid out when you pulled on the handle and the noise when it cycled on was the loudest we've ever experienced. So when it came on and you were sitting in the dining area or living room - it was completely overpowering (same for the dishwasher). Carpeted floors, and worn and dated decor and furniture were also off-putting. The fireplace works fine for burning wood, but the screen and doors are awful and in bad need of replacement. On the plus side, the house was clean, the bedrooms comfortable and the heating system pretty even and easy to control. No doubt the biggest plus to this house is the great view from the kitchen, dining area, living room and deck. This house could be so much more, but it's clear that not much has been done to this house in the way of upgrades for a pretty long time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here, the view afforded us a different experience every morning and evening, glorious view. We turned the two chairs around, facing the sliding glass door and watched the show. The house was very clean, and it has 3 bathrooms, downstairs bedrooms each have their own full bath. One note, stairs are involved, so keep that in mind!

The views were fantastic! We enjoyed the sunsets. We also got to see a family of deer roaming around. What a sight!

Unfortunately it was warmer than normal and no A/C. The house could use ceiling fans.

The bedrooms were very nice and roomy. They could have put a TV in the other bedroom.

The kitchen chairs need to be replaced. They are very weak.

It would have been nice to have had a table on the balcony so we could eat outside.

We came over at the height of the "shelter in place" order. We were confident that we would be safe, as would the Cambria community. The view from our deck alleviated A LOT of virus related stress. Janine was much friendlier and helpful than the first woman I talked to earlier in the month. That gal seemed really stressed out. We found West Side Bar and Grill friendly, good, and fast with take out food. Other take out places in Cambria; not so much. People obviously were scared; although whether they were scared of the virus, or of being reported for not following social-distancing guidelines was not clear.

This spacious two-bedroom house has wonderful ocean views. Our guests had a lovely time. The property is well maintained, but we were unable to get the dryer to work. There are just 4 chairs at the dining table, however we were able to squeeze 2 more guests at the table using plastic chairs from the deck.

Since the home only sleeps for, the dining table is only set up for that amount. We are sorry for the inconvenience on the dryer situation. Things these occasionally happen with no warning. The view is beautiful and hearing the waves crashing is so soothing. This home was clean and inviting yet it could use some updates on some of the furniture, especially the couch in the master bedroom. The beds were very comfortable. There is no air conditioning and the one little fan provided did not work. We weren't sure if it was the fan or the outlets we tried which were faulty. One control on the stove didn't work well and made it difficult to turn off that burner. Bring your own seasonings; coffee and tea. The view is what makes this property stand out.

We loved our stay, the ocean views were truly incredible and the home had everything we needed. It is in good condition, clean and inviting for a fair price. The only issue for someone in our group is they had no service on phone and homes WiFi didn’t work. We asked about WiFi and were told sometimes it goes out. For ppl who need connectivity this may be an issue but we had general phone service and loved to unplug it was still a great experience!

I have stayed at this location numerous times and each time I come I see improvements which is great. Now just to get a new shower head and get the knobs on the oven fixed that would be wonderful! I did have problems with both TV's and had someone from the office come out to look at the TV in the bedroom and she couldn't figure it out either. She said she would call the owner and get back to me which she never did. Other than that it was a great stay as always.

I loved this home. It was the perfect place for two couples. We totally enjoyed the convenience of the property and LOVED the views of the ocean. What a perfect place to sit outside, relax and take in the scenery. The home was also very well furnished, beds were comfortable, and was really clean. Communication from the property management company was excellent. The only downside of the property was that some of the amenities were not very well maintained: stripped knobs on the stove, water in shower went from scalding hot to icy cold for unknown reasons, and coffee pot did not work which was a major pain for our fellow coffee-drinking travelers as we had to go into town to buy coffee each morning. And I know this has been a lingering problem as I have seen it in other reviews from several months ago.

I stayed here with my mom so we could easily visit Hearst Castle. The house was better than I though it would be. It is nestled on the top of a wooded hilltop overlooking the ocean and has fantastic views. The house was carpeted and tiled and very quiet. I would definitely stay here again.

We love this home which is perfect for two couples. We have stayed here at least five times. The view is amazing and the house is very comfortable. We enjoy cooking so would highly recommend the owners invest in a new stove as the current one has issues; also, a new coffee maker is needed. Otherwise, it's a gem! We hope to return again next year.

Being evacuated from the Thomas Fire, we were so thankful to find refuge in the beautiful home with all the comforts of home. Gorgeous view and this home was reasonably priced for beach view property. However, I think you get what you pay for in terms of the furnishings, etc. Beds weren't great, no patio table or furniture and watch out for the railing on the balcony. Dangerous and should be replaced I think.

I have stayed at this home on numerous occasions as I love the view, the quietness and the cleanliness of the home. However as a another reviewer wrote, it truly needs a new bathroom shower door. The current one is very dangerous. And the mattress in the master bed is totally worn out. TV wasn't working so there should be a note on it. It's been like this for years but they seem to do nothing about it. I do a lot of my own cooking and have learned what to bring. Thought I might find some salt but not even a grain. And the glassware in the cupboard even had lipstick on it! So housekeeping needs to do more checking. Although I will continue to come back the owners need to take responsibility for some of these items that need to be fixed.

We loved our stay at this property! The views are truly amazing from every room in the house. The house was clean and well maintained and the location very convenient to the beach and Hearst Castle. The heater went out during our stay and we called after hours and someone came right away with a space heater. The next day a heater tech came and fixed it. Appreciated the prompt service.

Refer a friend? Not sure. Maybe if the maintenance improves, along with the quality of all plumbing fixtures. Shower door glass in Master Bath is dangerous. The doors fall out of the tracks when moving. Leaking(kitchen) and hard to adjust sink faucets. 2 of 8 bulbs out in Master Bath. 1 porch bulb burned out. Master Bath toilet seat loose enough to slide off! Invest in King beds, 2 more stools for kitchen counter, replace terrible couch in Master Bedroom (or a couple more chairs), and new and better water saving shower heads. Everthing else was fine, especially the view, but actually, the view from the downstairs Master is partially blocked by a really ugly tree. I love trees but this one is in the wrong place and very overgrown.

I did drop down the hill for a walk. There is a 40" flat screen tv in the living room. All you need is a HDMI cable to connect your computer to the tv and use your own Netfix, Amazon or HBO GO or anything else right from the computer. Suggest a wireless mouse that you can use right on the tv.

My boyfriend and I took a trip to Cambria and stayed here for 3 nights. We loved this home, with 2 fireplaces, ocean view,2 balconies, it was a great vacation spot. I would stay here again! My only criticism would be the pots and pans need to be replaced and the tv's were small and old..other than that an excellent place!

Our vacation in Cambria wasn't what we had planned. I ended up having to go to the ER several times because of a spider bite that I got in Solvang the night before we arrived. However, having a wonderful home to return to everyday after treatment was so helpful. We were able to relax on the balcony and watch the sunset. The home is very comfortable and cozy. The kitchen is lovely and the dining room has beautiful views as well. The beds were comfortable the linens for soft it was the perfect relaxation getaway home. We loved watching the deer that came into the yard and throughout the neighborhood.

I was able to view the home last year while staying at another location in Cambria. It appears very simple from the street view but really surprises you upon entering. We had a wonderful week long stay. We have been to Cambria many times, but this was the first time we rented a home. Heavenly Ocean View was a lovely home to stay in. Clean, comfortable, and perfect location.
I would suggest updating the website information to include a 1/2 bath on the 1st floor. We almost passed on this property since we thought the baths were all downstairs. We are in our 70's and didn't relish the idea of going up and down the stairs to use the baths. Also, knowing patio furniture was available would have been helpful also.
The Breen staff was very friendly and helpful, but I was surprised they could not answer some simple questions on the property without having to check and get back to us. (i.e., was there a bbq? Were all bedrooms on the lower level?). I'm sure it would be very helpful to the staff if they had ALL the details of each property at their fingertips when a potential rental inquired.
When beds are due to be replaced king size would be most welcome. Both bedrooms are large enough to accommodate them. Softer sheets would also be appreciated.
Having the DVR in the living room rather than in the msster bedroom would allow all guests to view movies together.
On this trip we took the Lighthouse tour - wonderful and informative. Also Paso Robles wineries, and the Friday night music and food at Harmony. Of course shopping in the lovely town of Cambria.
Our favorite restaurants are: Moonstone Beach Grill, Robin's, Madeline's, Sow's Ear, Linn's. And in Templeton - McFee's! Wonderful food. We were very surprised at how poor the service was at Moonstone Grill and Linn's this trip.
We will return to Cambria as often as possible.

Loved the visit to the Heavenly Ocean View property. And it was heavenly. Great views from all over . My only complaint is that the two queen beds are very old and uncomfortable. I recommend buying new king size beds - not sure why queens where there. Also the comforter and sheets where very old and needed to be updated. They where not at all comfortable.

We had a wonderful time in Cambria. We met our friends who live in northern Calif (we live in So. Cal.), finding it to be a good half way point. Our husbands were room mates at Cal Poly 40+ years ago, and we see each other about 2X a year. This house was perfect for two couples. Each with a nice bedroom and bath. We really enjoyed walking along the bluffs at Moonstone Beach and visiting all our favorite spots for great food. Ducky's in Cayucos, and Madeline's in Cambria were among the best! We will be back!

We stayed at the Heavenly Ocean View house on Saint Thomas Ave. The house was clean, updated, and well supplied. (the photos on the Breen website are accurate and current) Each bedroom had it own patio door with the view of the ocean. Plus, each bedroom had is own full bath. The living room, kitchen, entry and an 1/2 bath were all on a separate floor. I could get up early without disturbing our friends in the morning. Plus, the neighborhood was quiet and we never felt unsafe.

The views were excellent. You could still hear the sound of the waves, as well as, hear the seals in the distance and no other homes blocked the view. The sunsets are unforgetable. Even the morning sun rise from behind was enjoyable. The balcony was a perfert spot to watch the deer, several turkeys, bats, blue jay like birds and one skunk.

Overall, I have nothing negative to say. The stay was much more than I was expecting. My wife and I and our friends are both pleased and happy with the experience.

This wonderful home has panoramic views of the ocean for nearly 180 degrees. It's situated at the top of the hill with no obstructions in front of it, in the quiet area of Lodge Hill. I like the way the driveway takes you straight into the top floor, and you can pull your car down to the lower floor to unload as well. Great design. Decks on both floors. I'd say the furniture leaves a bit to be desired, but not really worth complaining about.

We were greeted professionally and promptly by the Breen Vacation Station, received our keys and enjoyed a beautiful house with ocean view. House and location were great, and the nearby otter cove and bluff walk are not to be missed. We did have a few wrinkles. The coffeemaker didn't work, there were no ice cubes or trays, and we were unable to use the phone, even for toll free numbers. That was problematic since there is no cell service at the house. Also, the carbon dioxide detector went off at 2 am on our last night and repeatedly told us to evacuate. We determined it was a false alarm but it was disconcerting!

The best thing I can say is -- I'm going back. And back. And back.

The view was as incredible as the photos. The house was so cozy and comfortable that we felt "at home" immediately. The layout -- each bedroom with private bath was perfect. It even had the luxury of two driveways so we could unload the luggage at the bedroom level and the groceries at the kitchen level.

We have rented this house many times and have enjoyed the view from the front porch of the yard across the street of two large skeletons sitting in lawn chairs and dressed in seasonal (green st Patty’s day outfits this time. Also view from back deck of moonstone beach and always the two cats in the window of house in back, sunning and occasionally fighting over choice spot in window. Our was clean & comfortable. Stopped up sink in upstairs br. attended to swiftly.

We Enjoyed staying at the Birds Eye View. The home was comfortable, ocean views, a nice outdoor deck, kitchen big, and three bathrooms.
It was quite at night, in the evenings and mornings we saw wild turkeys and deer. The location is close to Moonstone beach, restaurants and shopping.

The accommodations and view were great. BUT - we went on a hot/humid weekend. It is normal for a home in Cambria not to have air conditioning, but this home also did not have any ceiling fans or standing fans. We were all miserable the whole weekend. I suggest the owners replace the main room chandelier with a ceiling fan and provide standing fans in each bedroom.

This is our 3rd or 4th stay at Bird's Eye and it has always been great.Appreciate the strong wifi for those of us who had to do a little work. Only thing I would ask is for 6 seats in the living room and on the deck. Otherwise, this is a perfect location and very affordable.

After staying in PH23 before, we were looking forward to our three weeks. We were not disappointed. Very enjoyable! Everything worked well. Very comfortable, great location, walk to the beach, near to West Village. We enjoyed many stops to see the waves and the birds at the state beach (near the Santa Rosa Creek.) Recommended!
Concerns: Check out erosion and dirt on the wood walkway down to the dog run/back yard. BTW Nice crop of mushrooms down there.

Three of us (one being our boxer dog) enjoyed six weeks at Bird's Eye View. We love the location, functionality and overall size of the house. The Breen online house pictures and information do portray the house very well; there were no surprises.

Fiscalini Ranch Preserve is a short walk away and much of it is off leash for dogs. The location also allows walking to both the east and west villages of Cambria for those who like walking (and we do). Cambria has some steep hills so walking will include hills. There is very good walking in and around Cambria with much more in the surrounding area.

The house is very comfortable although the carpeted areas are worn but kept clean. The garage is kept quite tidy and can hold two vehicles. Internet, TV and other electronic services/equipment are up-to-date and work well. Furniture, including beds are comfortable. The kitchen has everything one might need, including an impressive assortment of dishes, pots, pans, etc.

We have stayed in Cambria before and love the small town feel and friendliness. Cafes, coffee shops, retail shops, wine tasting, a brewery and much more await. Stores such as Target, Trader Joe's, Costco, Kohls and many others are within easy driving in Paso Robles and San Luis Obispo. There must be upward of several hundred wineries, a score or more breweries and a number of distilleries scattered in this Central Coast region.

I should also mention that working with Breen is very easy; they made suggestions regarding possible houses (dog friendly) in this neighborhood and helped us settle on this house. We had our mail forwarded to Breen and often stopped by to ask questions about the surrounding area.

We stayed three months on this property, our home away from home. The view is fantastic. The home was clean and well equipped. It was nice to have the two-car garage even though we only had one car. The neighborhood is nice and the location is fantastic. The two bedrooms downstairs each have their own bathroom. The loft upstairs is reasonably private. We would highly recommend this property.

This was our second extended stay at Bird's Eye View with our boxer Drake. We like the house and location as we enjoy walking the many good trails near Park Hill (as does our boxer). There have been some upgrades to the house since we visited two years ago; it's always a good sign to see the house kept clean and in good service.

Cambria is a very friendly town and we enjoy visiting 927 Brewery, wineries (especially Black Hand), restaurants (Madeline's, Main Street Grill, Creekside Gardens, etc.) and coffee shops (Seed & Soul, Lily's and Cambria Coffee Roasting). There are also a surprising number of interesting shops and galleries. Shops, restaurants, etc. are somewhat evenly split between an east Main Street area and a west Main Street area. The is decent parking for both and very good sidewalks for walking between the two areas.

Having two en-suite bedrooms in the house is nice for visitors. The loft provides extra room for two guests or a place to work. The kitchen as most everything one might need, and the kitchen - dining room - living room are open and conducive to easy interaction.

The ocean is a short walk away with a small park at the end of Cambridge Street and Shamel Park (nice beach) a couple blocks farther. Walks on boardwalks on lower Fiscalini Preserve and Moonstone Beach are also within walking distance. Much of Cambria is quite hilly so do be aware of this and factor it into walking plans. The walk on upper Fiscalini is maybe 0.3 miles from the front door and only a mild slope to the street; sunset walks are always worth the effort.

Breen Vacation Station is easy to work with in arranging a rental and helpful while staying at the house.

The house (Bird's Eye View PH23) is great, very comfortable. Excellent views to the north from the living and dining area. Changes to life in Cambria from the corona virus made life more difficult, so our ability to eat out, shop etc was reduced later in the two weeks. Still a fine house to stay in. We enjoyed our visit. We also enjoyed access to trails and the ocean from Park Hill. A favorite activity was visiting the parking lot at State Park by the Santa Rosa River.

Bird's Eye View was a wonderful home away from home for us over the Thanksgiving holiday. The view is lovely, and the location is great- walkable to the beach and Fiscalini Ranch for hikes. The kitchen was very well stocked, and had everything we needed to cook our meals. Our only two complaints- the fridge is TINY (very little space for a turkey and groceries for a week), and the beds are VERY firm. Not a problem for some, but not the most comfortable for us. We would definitely rent here again.

Property is well-maintained, with complete kitchen stuff and with close proximity to the Main Street and Moonstone Beach. Only minor downsides are: bedrooms are downstairs which is a bit difficult for seniors like us to be going up and down the stairs, also not having some sort of a maintained fence area for our dogs to do their business. Highly recommend the property for younger couples.

This is our 3rd extended stay at Bird's Eye View so that in itself is an endorsement. Through wine club membership in three local wineries and our enjoyment of 927 Brewery's craft beer, we have made friends that we enjoy seeing on each visit. We love to walk to all Cambria has to offer at both West Village and East Village and find the trails (including the hills) are a real fitness plus. The house is kept in good shape, has plenty of room and has everything most anyone could need. Breen is always helpful with booking and while in residence at the house. We have our dog with us, there is plenty of room for his crate, and he loves the walking in Fiscalini and in the Park Hill neighborhood. We all love the warm sun on the front deck in the mornings and early afternoons.

We booked Bird’s Eye View at the last minute, because of fires in the Sequoia NP area and we were delighted by the accommodations. The house was beautiful and worked well for three couples. Especially because of our late booking, the Breen staff was very helpful. We loved the area attractions, the Pacific Coast, especially the elephant seals. We would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed yet another fine stay at this house, Bird's Eye View, in late April/early May. We enjoyed the view during meals from near the top of Park Hill. I enjoyed walking our dog all over the hill and into the open space (Fiscalini Ranch Preserve.) Comfortable, pleasant. Might like a few better place to sit and read other than the living room.

Very relaxing place to stay with everything you could want for a weekend or a weeks stay. Kitchen was very well equiped: though no kettle to boil water for tea (sorry we're British!) Walk down the hill for walks along the beach and paths around the bay. If you were keen you could walk to town for dinner: we liked the Sow's Ear.

Lovely, quiet, convenient get-away. Perfect for anyone wanting to spend a few days touring the Hearst Castle and other local attractions. Within walking distance of a great beach, too!

The house is very comfortable and well furnished, the kitchen had many of the items we use at home and we loved the fact that just about everything was organic and earth friendly. The view is just wonderful as is the neighborhood. The upstairs carpet is not new but I suspect that is standard for houses that allow dogs and a good shampoo would more than take care of it, though it was not a problem for us. The house is near Fiscalini and near the ocean...what more could one want?

I love Cambria and have enjoyed other homes we have rented in the area. However, I am not a big fan of this home. Furnishings in the living area were less than convenient and power lines were running a couple of feet from the 2nd floor balcony. It just didn’t have a great “feel”.

Nice home, but downstairs bedrooms NEVER feel warm...and upstairs loft was ALWAYS too warm. Middle floor (LR, K/DR, and BR)were fine with heater on. Patio too shady to be used. Backyard totally shade and ground constantly moist so not great for pets. Fireplace is really a pretend old fashioned small stove, helpful with heating the middle floor.

The home was lovely, me and my husband had a great weekens. He snores therefore, I was able to move to a different room when he was too loud and I could not hear a thing. The view was lovely, we sat at the balcony just to look at the starlit sky and we could hear the water from there. Overall this is a good property if you need three bedrooms and three baths. Two bedrooms have their own bath. We thought it might be important for others to know the third bedroom is a loft so there is a little less privacy and the logical bathroom for that room is on the main floor. The kitchen has all the basics but is not equipped for preparing more than simple meals. Seating in the main area for wathching movies etc is limited but it's spacious and carpeted so you can grab a pillow and lay on the floor. Views are awesome and it's a close walk to the beach. We would definitely stay again.

Great location! House is very convenient. House is not very insulated between the floors so you can hear people walking if you have early risers. Ad says it sleeps 8, but there is only bedding for 6. They also advertise that they provide a bottle of "Local Wine" when you check in. We did not check it when we got was not from anywhere near Paso Robles. Otherwise very happy with the rental.

Overall our experience was very good with your office and we enjoyed the cool climate.However,before the carpet was shampooed and the place was deep cleaned,it was not acceptable to us.The staff was very helpful in getting this former lanlords ourselves,I would recommend in replacing the carpet with wood floors especially up stairs,along with replacing the stove and vent/fan assembly in the kitchen-very old and outdated.Also the trees in the rear need to be trimmed below the deck in order to see the coast.But again the staff were very helpful!!

check in was easy. kitchen was a bit dirty, especially areas like the top of refrigerator; carpet has some stains but otherwise generally clean. Great location--short walk to beach and hiking trails; walkable to town, as well. Can opener was broken (minor complaint) and two of the four burners on the stove had to be lit with a match (electronic ignition was not working). But again, good experience and generally very pleased with our rental experience.

We stayed at this property for three nights in May and generally had a good time. The property is very conveniently located and well kept. We found the kitchen to be really dated especially some of the appliances like the stove and oven. Sadly, the wifi, phone and tv didn't work the entire we were there. The carpet was dusty and stained and probably needs to be replaced. Despite these little things the Birds Eye is a good option if one plans to visit Cambria. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bedrooms nicely situated in the basement.

This is an older home up the hill from the beach. We were very happy with the location, and especially enjoyed the front deck (pictured). Our party consisted two children, two well-behaved dogs and 2 to 3 adults. We stayed for nearly a month and at no time did we feel overcrowded. The house is very convenient for scenic walks and beach visits with the dogs & kids. The folks at Breen were helpful, especially Nicole who helped us make the arrangements. We were considering several houses for our extended stay and she was very honest in her description of all of them. All correspondence was handled in a timely fashion and everyone was pleasant.
The owners could update a bit. The kitchen faucet leaked and needed replacing during our stay. The internet connection was tenuous the last 10 days of the stay, making work difficult. We went to the local coffee shop and used their Wifi, best coffee ever and nice view so that helped. The mattresses were comfortable, but the sheets had seen better days. The kitchen was fairly well supplied, but the glasses and silverware were cloudy, the dishwasher wasn't quite up to it. 3 bathrooms in very good shape and plenty of towels. The gas fire made for cozy mornings in the lounge with the family. All and all a nice stay.

The place was clean and reasonably well maintained. Breen Vacation Station provided good service and accommodated our late arrival well. The internet speed was adequate. The TV worked well, but was complicated to figure out. The microwave was too small for cooking and the coffee maker should be replaced. The kitchen was well equipped with utensils and the necessary silverware for 6. The house slept 6 as advertised and was reasonably well maintained. It was cozy. We had a nice stay. Overall I would say we received fair value for the money, but I would recommend the property to a friend or relative with the caveats listed.

Many, Many pet stains on down stairs carpet, some of them still wet.... Also kitchen pots/pans could use a cleaning. There was visible grease/grime on them.

I kept my husband's ashes with me while there and felt he and I were safe and very comfortable in this house. The location for me was perfect in many ways. Although, all the carpet throughout the house had huge stains all over it, I eventually was able to see beyond this and not let it bother me. The master bedroom continually had a damp, musty smell as well, but I used an air freshner for that, which helped. Glenda and Maria in the management office were very kind and accommodating. I never met the owner, but would have liked to. He was so kind as to allow me to stay extra long under a favorable price agreement, which also made it harder to have to leave the house and area - but sadly, this was totally out of my control. I really wish I were still there. I felt I was at home in so many ways. If for any reason things take a turn for the better, I truly hope to be able to rent this house again. Something to look forward to. Thank you for everything Glenda, maybe I will see you again - soon~~

All five of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay and this very comfortable home! The house allowed us to stay in---or to go out---with all the amenities in had. Each of us left our stay relaxed, and ready to return in the future. Of special note, the steps leading up to the house were wide enough so I could use my walker with no difficulty---and the recliners in the living room were wonderful to sleep in. Thanks for everything!

They are remodeling the house next door. The construction noise started early and on Friday night it continued until 9:30 PM and all day Sunday too! Renters should be warned. It wasn't a quiet vacation.

My husband and I chose this home because the literature and the agent on the phone described the yard as having a dog run. To me, a dog run is an enclosed area where a dog will be able to move about without escaping. However, what we found at the home was a low fenced bakyard. Our dogs jumped over the fence two times and had to be collected. I explained before arriaval that we had 2 fourty pound Siberian Huskies. Needless to say, our vaction was dampened a bit because we either had to have the dogs in the house or take them with us. We'd love to stay in the house for a week or more at a time if the fence was higher. Thanks, Kelly

the view was wonderful. I felt that everything from the furnishings to kitchen accessories and the chairs out side were the barest minimum without to much thought to the guest. When I stay at a really nice resort I expect a little more .

We Enjoyed staying at the Birds Eye View. The home was comfortable, ocean views, a nice outdoor deck, kitchen big, and three bathrooms.
It was quite at night, in the evenings and mornings we saw wild turkeys and deer. The location is close to Moonstone beach, restaurants and shopping.
Truly enjoyed our stay. Thank you for sharing your beach home.

We have rented this house many times and have enjoyed the view from the front porch of the yard across the street of two large skeletons sitting in lawn chairs and dressed in seasonal (green st Patty’s day outfits this time. Also view from back deck of moonstone beach and always the two cats in the window of house in back, sunning and occasionally fighting over choice spot in window. Our was clean & comfortable. Stopped up sink in upstairs br. attended to swiftly.

After staying in PH23 before, we were looking forward to our three weeks. We were not disappointed. Very enjoyable! Everything worked well. Very comfortable, great location, walk to the beach, near to West Village. We enjoyed many stops to see the waves and the birds at the state beach (near the Santa Rosa Creek.) Recommended!
Concerns: Check out erosion and dirt on the wood walkway down to the dog run/back yard. BTW Nice crop of mushrooms down there.

The accommodations and view were great. BUT - we went on a hot/humid weekend. It is normal for a home in Cambria not to have air conditioning, but this home also did not have any ceiling fans or standing fans. We were all miserable the whole weekend. I suggest the owners replace the main room chandelier with a ceiling fan and provide standing fans in each bedroom.

We booked Bird’s Eye View at the last minute, because of fires in the Sequoia NP area and we were delighted by the accommodations. The house was beautiful and worked well for three couples. Especially because of our late booking, the Breen staff was very helpful. We loved the area attractions, the Pacific Coast, especially the elephant seals. We would definitely stay again.

This is our 3rd extended stay at Bird's Eye View so that in itself is an endorsement. Through wine club membership in three local wineries and our enjoyment of 927 Brewery's craft beer, we have made friends that we enjoy seeing on each visit. We love to walk to all Cambria has to offer at both West Village and East Village and find the trails (including the hills) are a real fitness plus. The house is kept in good shape, has plenty of room and has everything most anyone could need. Breen is always helpful with booking and while in residence at the house. We have our dog with us, there is plenty of room for his crate, and he loves the walking in Fiscalini and in the Park Hill neighborhood. We all love the warm sun on the front deck in the mornings and early afternoons.

Property is well-maintained, with complete kitchen stuff and with close proximity to the Main Street and Moonstone Beach. Only minor downsides are: bedrooms are downstairs which is a bit difficult for seniors like us to be going up and down the stairs, also not having some sort of a maintained fence area for our dogs to do their business. Highly recommend the property for younger couples.

This was our second extended stay at Bird's Eye View with our boxer Drake. We like the house and location as we enjoy walking the many good trails near Park Hill (as does our boxer). There have been some upgrades to the house since we visited two years ago; it's always a good sign to see the house kept clean and in good service.

Cambria is a very friendly town and we enjoy visiting 927 Brewery, wineries (especially Black Hand), restaurants (Madeline's, Main Street Grill, Creekside Gardens, etc.) and coffee shops (Seed & Soul, Lily's and Cambria Coffee Roasting). There are also a surprising number of interesting shops and galleries. Shops, restaurants, etc. are somewhat evenly split between an east Main Street area and a west Main Street area. The is decent parking for both and very good sidewalks for walking between the two areas.

Having two en-suite bedrooms in the house is nice for visitors. The loft provides extra room for two guests or a place to work. The kitchen as most everything one might need, and the kitchen - dining room - living room are open and conducive to easy interaction.

The ocean is a short walk away with a small park at the end of Cambridge Street and Shamel Park (nice beach) a couple blocks farther. Walks on boardwalks on lower Fiscalini Preserve and Moonstone Beach are also within walking distance. Much of Cambria is quite hilly so do be aware of this and factor it into walking plans. The walk on upper Fiscalini is maybe 0.3 miles from the front door and only a mild slope to the street; sunset walks are always worth the effort.

Breen Vacation Station is easy to work with in arranging a rental and helpful while staying at the house.

We look forward to our visits to Cambria and all it and the surrounding area and communities have to offer.

We had a great stay at this rental home. We were a bit leary after reading some of the past reviews but the home was wonderful, clean and fresh. We had a great time and enjoyed both the views and the proximity to the beach at Shamel Park. would book this home again. The rental management company was great to work with - even called us early to let us know that the house was ready and when we picked up the keys received a complimentary bottle of wine. Nice touch!

Fiscalini Ranch Preserve is a short walk away and much of it is off leash for dogs. The location also allows walking to both the east and west villages of Cambria for those who like walking (and we do). Cambria has some steep hills so walking will include hills. There is very good walking in and around Cambria with much more in the surrounding area.

The house is very comfortable although the carpeted areas are worn but kept clean. The garage is kept quite tidy and can hold two vehicles. Internet, TV and other electronic services/equipment are up-to-date and work well. Furniture, including beds are comfortable. The kitchen has everything one might need, including an impressive assortment of dishes, pots, pans, etc.

We have stayed in Cambria before and love the small town feel and friendliness. Cafes, coffee shops, retail shops, wine tasting, a brewery and much more await. Stores such as Target, Trader Joe's, Costco, Kohls and many others are within easy driving in Paso Robles and San Luis Obispo. There must be upward of several hundred wineries, a score or more breweries and a number of distilleries scattered in this Central Coast region.

I should also mention that working with Breen is very easy; they made suggestions regarding possible houses (dog friendly) in this neighborhood and helped us settle on this house. We had our mail forwarded to Breen and often stopped by to ask questions about the surrounding area.

I found this home to be wonderful, I hated having to leave! The layout felt as though I was back at our own home, many similarities. I kept my husband's ashes with me while there and felt he and I were safe and very comfortable in this house. The location for me was perfect in many ways. Although, all the carpet throughout the house had huge stains all over it, I eventually was able to see beyond this and not let it bother me. The master bedroom continually had a damp, musty smell as well, but I used an air freshner for that, which helped. Glenda and Maria in the management office were very kind and accommodating. I never met the owner, but would have liked to. He was so kind as to allow me to stay extra long under a favorable price agreement, which also made it harder to have to leave the house and area - but sadly, this was totally out of my control. I really wish I were still there. I felt I was at home in so many ways. If for any reason things take a turn for the better, I truly hope to be able to rent this house again. Something to look forward to. Thank you for everything Glenda, maybe I will see you again - soon~~

We had an amazing weekend for our family. The weather could not have been better as we celebrated the life of our dear brother who passed away recently. Not sure what happened before we got there but If this were my home, and I found it in the condition that it was, I would have been very very very unhappy. Many, Many pet stains on down stairs carpet, some of them still wet.... Also kitchen pots/pans could use a cleaning. There was visible grease/grime on them.

These guests did not advise us of any issues or concerns during their stay. We would happily remedy any problems a guest might having during their stay if we are informed of the situation. It is not possible for there to have been wet pet stains at this home as the home was vacant multiple days prior to arrival. We regularly clean carpets of homes that are pet friendly in order to maintain a clean and comfortable atmosphere in all of our homes.

The TV worked well, but was complicated to figure out. The microwave was too small for cooking and the coffee maker should be replaced. The kitchen was well equipped with utensils and the necessary silverware for 6. The house slept 6 as advertised and was reasonably well maintained. It was cozy. We had a nice stay. Overall I would say we received fair value for the money, but I would recommend the property to a friend or relative with the caveats listed.

This is an older home up the hill from the beach. We were very happy with the location, and especially enjoyed the front deck (pictured). Our party consisted two children, two well-behaved dogs and 2 to 3 adults. We stayed for nearly a month and at no time did we feel overcrowded. The house is very convenient for scenic walks and beach visits with the dogs & kids. The folks at Breen were helpful, especially Nicole who helped us make the arrangements. We were considering several houses for our extended stay and she was very honest in her description of all of them. All correspondence was handled in a timely fashion and everyone was pleasant.
The owners could update a bit. The kitchen faucet leaked and needed replacing during our stay. The internet connection was tenuous the last 10 days of the stay, making work difficult. We went to the local coffee shop and used their Wifi, best coffee ever and nice view so that helped. The mattresses were comfortable, but the sheets had seen better days. The kitchen was fairly well supplied, but the glasses and silverware were cloudy, the dishwasher wasn't quite up to it. 3 bathrooms in very good shape and plenty of towels. The gas fire made for cozy mornings in the lounge with the family. All and all a nice stay.

We stayed at this property for three nights in May and generally had a good time. The property is very conveniently located and well kept. We found the kitchen to be really dated especially some of the appliances like the stove and oven. Sadly, the wifi, phone and tv didn't work the entire we were there. The carpet was dusty and stained and probably needs to be replaced. Despite these little things the Birds Eye is a good option if one plans to visit Cambria. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bedrooms nicely situated in the basement.

check in was easy. kitchen was a bit dirty, especially areas like the top of refrigerator; carpet has some stains but otherwise generally clean. Great location--short walk to beach and hiking trails; walkable to town, as well. Can opener was broken (minor complaint) and two of the four burners on the stove had to be lit with a match (electronic ignition was not working). But again, good experience and generally very pleased with our rental experience.

Overall our experience was very good with your office and we enjoyed the cool climate.However,before the carpet was shampooed and the place was deep cleaned,it was not acceptable to us.The staff was very helpful in getting this former lanlords ourselves,I would recommend in replacing the carpet with wood floors especially up stairs,along with replacing the stove and vent/fan assembly in the kitchen-very old and outdated.Also the trees in the rear need to be trimmed below the deck in order to see the coast.But again the staff were very helpful!!

Overall this is a good property if you need three bedrooms and three baths. Two bedrooms have their own bath. We thought it might be important for others to know the third bedroom is a loft so there is a little less privacy and the logical bathroom for that room is on the main floor. The kitchen has all the basics but is not equipped for preparing more than simple meals. Seating in the main area for wathching movies etc is limited but it's spacious and carpeted so you can grab a pillow and lay on the floor. Views are awesome and it's a close walk to the beach. We would definitely stay again.

The home was lovely, me and my husband had a great weekens. He snores therefore, I was able to move to a different room when he was too loud and I could not hear a thing. The view was lovely, we sat at the balcony just to look at the starlit sky and we could hear the water from there. The house was very spacious and came with alot of plus items like extra light bulbs, flashlights...Lovely Stay.

Nice home, but downstairs bedrooms NEVER feel warm...and upstairs loft was ALWAYS too warm. Middle floor (LR, K/DR, and BR)were fine with heater on. Patio too shady to be used. Backyard totally shade and ground constantly moist so not great for pets. Fireplace is really a pretend old fashioned small stove, helpful with heating the middle floor.

I love Cambria and have enjoyed other homes we have rented in the area. However, I am not a big fan of this home. Furnishings in the living area were less than convenient and power lines were running a couple of feet from the 2nd floor balcony. It just didn’t have a great “feel”.

The house is very comfortable and well furnished, the kitchen had many of the items we use at home and we loved the fact that just about everything was organic and earth friendly. The view is just wonderful as is the neighborhood. The upstairs carpet is not new but I suspect that is standard for houses that allow dogs and a good shampoo would more than take care of it, though it was not a problem for us. The house is near Fiscalini and near the ocean...what more could one want?

Lovely, quiet, convenient get-away. Perfect for anyone wanting to spend a few days touring the Hearst Castle and other local attractions. Within walking distance of a great beach, too!

Very relaxing place to stay with everything you could want for a weekend or a weeks stay. Kitchen was very well equiped: though no kettle to boil water for tea (sorry we're British!) Walk down the hill for walks along the beach and paths around the bay. If you were keen you could walk to town for dinner: we liked the Sow's Ear.

The house is beautiful and in a great location, but once you get into bed you realize you can hear every noise and movement from the upstairs portions of the house. Everyone had to go to bed at the same time in order to get any sleep!

My husband and I chose this home because the literature and the agent on the phone described the yard as having a dog run. To me, a dog run is an enclosed area where a dog will be able to move about without escaping. However, what we found at the home was a low fenced bakyard. Our dogs jumped over the fence two times and had to be collected. I explained before arriaval that we had 2 fourty pound Siberian Huskies. Needless to say, our vaction was dampened a bit because we either had to have the dogs in the house or take them with us. We'd love to stay in the house for a week or more at a time if the fence was higher. Thanks, Kelly

All five of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay and this very comfortable home! The house allowed us to stay in---or to go out---with all the amenities in had. Each of us left our stay relaxed, and ready to return in the future. Of special note, the steps leading up to the house were wide enough so I could use my walker with no difficulty---and the recliners in the living room were wonderful to sleep in. They are remodeling the house next door. The construction noise started early and on Friday night it continued until 9:30 PM and all day Sunday too! Renters should be warned. It wasn't a quiet vacation.
