Serenity By The Sea - #LH25

The Jean St house was the perfect house for our family of 3. It was warm, cozy, inviting and had everything that we needed for the week. The kitchen/bathrooms were well stocked.

Only negatives were the downstairs bedroom mattress was uncomfortable and the wifi was unreliable at times.

Has all the amenities you could need.

The only recommendations are:

A decent size TV in the living room. The screen was very small and my computer monitors are larger than the TV.
No TV’s in any of the bedrooms yet a wood burning stove (living room and one bedroom) in an area that doesn’t need them or get cold. 50 degrees doesn’t warrant wood stoves and it takes up much needed wall and floor space.
The bathroom windows are sealed shut and the window cranks have been removed creating steam on everything and mold. Fix the windows as there are no fans to vent the moisture.
Upstairs bed could use a mattress upgrade or TempurPedic topper as it’s not very comfortable.
Pillows provided were thin and insufficient

This was a very comfortable, clean and quiet house. It has empty lots on both sides, so there’s nothing obstructing the views. The house had all the amenities one might need for a short or extended stay, and everything was in working order. It’s less than a 10 minute walk to the Fiscalini ranch, and an even shorter walk to Lampton park and the Harvey Street beach access point. It’s also a fairly short drive into town. One thing to be aware of is that there are a lot of deer in the Marine Terrace neighborhood, and on the main street you’ll take to and from town, so be careful while driving as they sometimes dart out into the streets. If I visit Cambria in the future, I will definitely try to book this home again.

Walking distance to great trails and the coast, this house was comfortable and had terrific sunset views. The kitchen was very well equipped and you could fall asleep to the sound of the ocean.
The second floor had the living space and one bedroom and bathroom while the second bedroom/bathroom and access to the garage.
Cozy for two couples- we had a wonderfully relaxing weekend.

We loved this charming home in Cambria. It was well-stocked, and very comfortable. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood, and it was a short (5-10 minute) drive to the main downtown village. Would love to stay here again sometime!

My wife and I had a wonderful fours days in Cambria. We have rented other homes with Breen Vacation Rental. This last home was our favorite home. The rooms were beautiful and very comfortable. The living room and the kitchen were the right size for the two of us. The house had a beautiful balcony off the living room with great views and the sound of the ocean could be heard from the balcony. This house was wonderful! Within walking distance to the beach! Very clean and well appointed! The property management was very nice and informative! If you want to stay in a quiet beach community without the crowds, Cambria, CA is for you! Just find somewhere else to get gas. Much more expensive here! And that is saying something being in California.

The house is very quiet, clean, and well stocked. Located only 1.5 blocks from public access to ocean. Be careful, went to use the W/D in the garage and the door locks automatically behind you. Was locked out for a long time.

Spent 7 days in this home. Was blocks away from a seaside park where we watched otters and sunsets. Easy walk to Fiscalini Ranch Preserve too. Spent our days relaxing, taking walks, hanging out in Cambria, visiting Morro Bay, Cayucos beach, and a drive up Hwy 1. We’ve been to Cambria before, and this was another great visit. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Deer, an owl, and a heron all spent time in the adjacent empty lots. This our 4th stay in a Breen house, and we’ve always been completely satisfied.

We have been renting vacation homes in Cambria for over 30 years, this was the cleanest and best equipped rental we have ever rented. Great location, a bit on the cozy side, but makes up for it in location and everything else.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Serenity By The Sea. The house is well designed for cozy comfort with a well appointed kitchen having all the appliance one might need for home cooked meals. Interior decorating gives a pleasing nod to seaside location with new comfortable living room furnisher. Plenty of games, puzzles and movies are available for quiet entertainment.The two master bedrooms allow for privacy for two couples to share this location. Management were very helpful and friendly.

Minor considerations: Cable TV provided, yet bring your own device for connection to streaming entertainment venues. Also if you are tall, careful not to bump your head on the stove hood. And the vent above stove makes some noise if it is windy out.

We really enjoyed the many walks accessible from this location without getting in the car. Nearby Fiscalini Reserve has seaside trails and forest loops. It was easy to get out and walk daily to take in the quiet and beauty. Easy drive to many spots of interests.

Overall it was great stay - we love the well equipped kitchen and the location. A few things to note the sheets on upstairs bed kept coming off the mattress (old and stretched out. There was a scented fabric softener or detergent that was a bit much for us. Outdoor furnishing was sparse in need of updating. Also great selection of glassesa& bar ware but you need to get a dishwasher rinse agent as it is becoming very white streaked and cloudy. Breen has been a great service and resource...thank you for your attention to our stay!

We could see just enough of the ocean from the house -- 2 blocks away and we could hear the waves crashing from the balcony. Everything in the home was perfect -- new and relaxing -- comfortable sea blue decor. It was super well equipped with everything we needed for cooking, media, games, and enjoying our time there. It is a few block walk to the beginning of the boardwalk. It might have been one of the most awe inspiring beach walks of my life. We also walked the boardwalk on Moonstone beach and along the sands of San Simeon St. Park. We felt so lucky to see hundreds of sea lions sunning themselves on the beach a few miles north of San Simeon. Basically it's just a short drive to lots of nice restaurants and friendly shops in Cambria and Moonstone Beach. We enjoyed the stunning craggy beaches at sunset, lots of birds, and sea lions.

We love Cambria and come up to central California often. This was one of the best stays due the homes location, its comfy interior, peace & quiet and great for star gazing. If you like to cook, it has a well equipped kitchen and even a waffle maker. Next to the park and others, we will definitely be back!

'Serenity by the Sea' is a very easy, 5-minutes walk away from tide pools and Fiscalini Ranch Preserve. The home's size is ideal for 2-4 travelers; a MBr (queen bed) with a shower downstairs and another MBr (queen bed) upstairs with a tub. The mattresses and sofa are comfortable - not lumpy or too soft. Some of the furniture and equipment are dated but still functional. Overall, the pictures are accurate. The flashlight/wall light, bathroom nightlights and luggage racks are nice details. We felt comfortable staying in this well-kept and well-loved home. Highly recommended for its fantastic location!

My husband and I stayed here with our sons little family for a weekend. It was a perfect fit. 2 dogs, an exchange student wanting to see the ocean and 2 geezers...we all loved this beautiful home. Close to tide pools with walking trails everywhere. We could watch the sun set...fix a meal...read a book.

This house was amazing. Great location and everything you need to relax and enjoy Cambria.

Serenity By the Sea offered us a lovely getaway for the weekend. The house was comfortable, clean, well appointed and overall lovely. It is nice that it has no surrounding houses on the lot which meant quiet, dark evenings to stargaze.

This spotless, cheerful little cottage was just right for us: close to the ocean, an easy drive to town, quiet and relaxing. The neighborhood is lovely, too.

The house had everything I needed, coffee pot, filters, Disney cartoons and a drawer full of craft stuff for my 4 year old.

Great place, cute, clean, well stocked and comfortable. Walking on beautiful coastal walks and charming neighborhoods. Enjoyed our two night stay.

I would really recommend some updates: the couch needs to be replaced,the sheets don't fit the bed, and the carpet on the stairs is very worn. The kitchen and bathroom are clean, but the other things need some tender loving care. We will come back for another vacation at this house.

The house is in a location we love and works well for our dogs. Kitchen is well stocked. House needs to be painted inside and sofa is dreadful. Some of the bedding is so tired that bottom sheets do not stay in place. House in general needs a refresh.

This is our 3rd stay at this home. I love the location. Beautiful ocean view from the deck! Good location to walking trails along the ocean that are dog friendly. The home is very clean and has a wonderful kitchen that is well stocked. Will certainly stay here again.

Great location and fantastic kitchen. Very comfortable beds. There was not a lot of lounging room (1 old couch and 2 very uncomfortable outdoor chairs), and the place could use an update, but overall a great experience. I am really appreciative that they would allow pets (i guess that is why they have old furniture). Would totally reccommend.

We loved our stay at the Serenity by the sea. The whole family loved the view and board walk close by.

Nice little place, great kitchen amenities. Good location, easy walks to view locations, but layout greatly limits views of ocean from house. Woodstoves take up too much room, are not necessary (regular heating system is fine), and wood there wouldn't have fit into stoves anyway…and, no kindling provided. A bit pricey for what it is, but it is enjoyable anyway.

This is a very nice home in a quiet neighborhood. The yard is very secure for dogs with a six foot fence. The kitchen is amazing and well equipped. Lovely ocean views from the deck and living room and kitchen. The couch isn't very comfortable to sit on and that is the only reason I didn't give 5 stars to the general condition question.

This house has everything you need, from a fully equipped kitchen to ocean views. It is in a quiet and relaxing location and within walking distance of good hiking. This was our second stay and we love it!

Our trip to Cambria was enjoyable in part due to the "Serenity By The Sea". The house was perfectly located within walking distance of the ocean, the preserve and the tide pools. Sunset views from the 2nd floor balcony were lovely. We were a short car ride to freeway access and Downtown Cambria. The house was spotless and well stocked with everything you might need.
Breen Vacation Station provided great customer service. Always pleasant and helpful with our questions.
Red Moose Cookies were a big hit... use your GPS to find them off Village Dr. Wineries: Hunt, Niners, Turley, were a few of the places we visited. Cambria is a wonderful, relaxing place to visit.
