We have stayed here two years in a row, since we love where this house is located, but the owners need to address some well needed upgrades. The faucet in the Master Shower is not working properly and it's something I addressed the last time. I was assured that it was fixed and it wasn't. It's stripped, so you have no idea where the hot/cold level is, which could pose a safety issue if you have young children. The carpet is dated through the living room and master bedroom. For the nightly rate that is being charged these items should be addressed. Lastly the internet was not working during our stay.

Beautiful location. All Bedrooms and bathrooms very clean and good quality mattresses. Kitchen in a good condition and well equipped.

The family room carpet and sofa needs upgrade. Looked old style and aged.

The house is situated on Moonstone Beach. The large picture window was perfect for viewing whales, dolphins and a very close rainbow. Well appointed kitchen make our family gathering perfect.

We LOVED this property and our time on the gorgeous California coast near Cambria. The home is about as good as it gets with regard to location and we loved the feel and vibe of this beachside basecamp for our crew. The folks at Breen Vacation Station were very helpful and friendly and check in/check out was a breeze!

It does not get much better than this. Breen Vacation Station and the home are both wonderful and we had everything we needed and were attended to by Breen immediately when we had a minor issue that did not affect our stay and even though it was the Christmas Holiday.

your service was great. the rental unit had a wonderful ocean view. however it was a bit run down which was surprising given the daily rate. odd lower level floor plan w a single bathroom adjacent to only the front bedroom rendered the 2nd bedroom pretty useless for our second couple.

We had such an amazing week in this rental property! Fantastic location, excellent management and lovely, comfortable home that was perfect for our family. There was a bit of an ant problem but everything else was perfect!

We absolutely loved the location of this vacation home. Listening to the waves crashing and getting the ocean breeze was one of the best features. It was super spacious and conveniently located to restaurants, shopping, etc. We will definitely book here again....

We have rented this home 3 times over the last 9 years and this time will be the last. The owners clearly don’t care. This is a cash cow to them and they have zero interest in maintaining the property to a minimum standard. Over the last 9 years, it has continued to fall into disrepair. It could be great, but the owners need to wake up and take some pride in there home. I have serious doubts this will happen. I highly recommend NOT renting this home. At this price you have many other options. If you don’t take my advice, plan on many things not working, jetted tub and fireplaces are just two examples. Plan on subpar amenities, pots and pans are trashed, lightbulbs burned out though out the house, exposed electrical, stains, no paper towels and 1 roll of toilet paper. The list goes on and on but I will spare you. This home used to be one of the best rentals in Cambria. It’s so sad to see what it has turned into.

The house is across the street from the ocean. It was wonderful to sit on the deck above the ocean. The house was comfortable. We had tv/password issues that were dealt with reasonably. Could recommend easily. Beds were ok, slept fine. Kitchen had bare minimum equipment, so bring your own equipment. Old and dated furniture and carpet, but rental wise was fine.

This house is in a great spot and very comfortable for 1 or 2 families or friends to share a vacation. Rooms are large and comfortable,however, furniture and bedding are dated, towels are minimal, and outdoor furniture is mostly plastic. I would recommend bringing extra towels, camp chairs for the patios, and wine glasses if needed. If the owners are reviewing, clearly this isn't the first time folks have mentioned this, these things matter to travelers. A desk would be great too for home or remote workers that might be staying, there is plenty of room for that but it's such a pretty spot you might kinda forget you're supposed to be working. :) thanks for sharing your location.

Our vacation rental was beautiful! It was very spacious for our group of six with plenty of room to spare. It was very clean and had all the essential cookware needed for a weekend away. The upstairs patio overlooking the ocean was breathtaking and we enjoyed mornings and evenings relaxing looking out at the gorgeous views! The sunsets were amazing as well. We thoroughly enjoyed the property and would stay there again in a second!

We (7 people) love this house and location. The house has amazing views of moonstone beach. Walk across the street and you are at the beach. We spent most of our time on the deck when we were not out exploring beautiful Cambria and surrounding areas. The house does have a few things it could upgrade (refrigerator,microwave,dishwasher,oven and front door locks.
The house was exceptionally clean but it did have ants in the bathrooms. Smoke detectors also was missing from one of the bedrooms. All that being said it was a great home and I definitely would rent it again.

The house is perfect for a family vacation. We were right across the street from the beach and a great park, fun for boogie boarding and tide pool exploring. There was an outdoor shower so we didn’t have to track sand in. The house was clean quite lovely and comfortable. We plan on coming back next summer. It was a wonderful experience. The management was extraordinarily responsive and very kind.

This house has one of the most extraordinary views and it is located not too far from the downtown. House provides all the required amenities for a nice vacation for both adults and kids.

Some issues noted: Internet was not too bad. Adults working and kids watching streaming videos at the same time does cause a bit of a problem. Better internet connection would be great.

Even if the main door deadbolt is unlocked, there is no way to open the door from outside without a key because the door handle is broken. It is a small fix but definitely helps a lot.

PS: Nothing to do with the house but Verizon has *zero* service in the house. Most others that came with me (who have varied service providers) also have faced service issues on their mobiles.

Had a fabulous time in a beautiful home with a view of the ocean. Everyone enjoyed their stay.

Eight of us spent three nights at this house. Very nice location with ocean views. The house was a good size for four couples, lots of space, nice furniture. The rental agency was very helpful.
When we arrived, the windows looking over the ocean were very dirty and had not been cleaned in several weeks. Not good, when you are paying for an ocean view! When asked, the rental agency sent someone out as soon as possible (next morning) to clean the windows. One bedroom TV was broken and did not get fixed during our stay. For such a nice house, and being near the wine country, it was too bad that there were basically no wine glasses in the house.
We would stay there again, just request ahead of time that the windows are cleaned. Breen vacation rentals was very helpful.

The home was fabulous, we found and had everything we needed for our six-day vacation. Loved the outdoor shower to wash off the sand. Kitchen had most everything you would expect from a full-time rental. The huge living room windows and patio were ideal for us. We enjoyed the use of a small telescope to spy on ocean life (loved watching the sea otters!) and the large couch and chairs made lounging comfy. We were very pleased with this rental, and were satisfied we got what we paid for.

Some items that did not negatively impact our stay: there are no plastic drinking cups for kids, there are no beach-specific towels (we brought our own), the garage door came off it’s tracks, the only downstairs bathroom is in the master suite, there were no trash bags for the kitchen (we brought our own), and there is no wood provided for the upstairs fireplace.

The property was perfectly located, right off of a beach trail with a gorgeous view. The location and view was my favorite thing about it. It was also spacious and clean. There were a few things that were dissappintig. Online it said it had cable, however many channels included in basic cable were not available. Also, the microwave would not pop popcorn and often didn’t work at all. The dishwasher also did not open the soap dispenser to clean dishes. Our stay would have been more enjoyable if these items worked properly. However, we enjoyed ourselves and had an overall good experience. I would vacation here again.

Great house and location! We had a few problems that were fixed. One the key to the side door worked when we arrived but not when we got back at needed lubricant. Someone was there in 15 minutes to let us in and fix it. Second, it was very windy the first day and the Wi-Fi did not work. Our third day it was determined a new router was needed so it was replaced. The mats walking up the front interior steps moved and one person slipped. So we took the mats off the four steps...much safer.

We enjoyed a long weekend at this lovely home. We had three couples plus a parent, and there was plenty of room for everyone. Gorgeous views of the ocean! We would have loved to enjoy the large deck, but the weather did not cooperate.

The view is spectacular and the location makes walks to the beach or walking path very easy! The kitchen could use more cooking utensils and the furniture is a bit outdated, but the location is the key.

We checked into Moonstone House and immediately loved it.
Spending most of our time on the beautiful rounded deck in the Adirondack chairs and enjoying the view. Watching the waves of the ocean and the sunsets gave all of us a relaxing time.

The House was a perfect place to stay with family. So much better than all of renting rooms. The views are awesome and the location is great with easy access to some of the best restaurants in the county. I would highly recommend a stay at this property and will definitely be back soon.

Beautiful location and nice home. Having a garage was also very helpful. Furnishings were a little dated and the blinds didn't all work but the view and ocean were wonderful.

That house was everything we wanted. Across from the beach,the best view ever. We saw whales,seals,and other sea life.

We went to see the elephant seals and to Hurst Castle. Everything is so convenient.

Family dinner at Linn's was a must and enjoyed by everyone.

I would recommend this house to anyone who wants a beautiful view, a spacious beautiful house and a relaxing vacation.

This house is perfectly located for beach access and a large group. It is fully equiped and was very clean. Our only issues were with the refrigerator - it was turned to low or off when we arrived but the knob indicating the setting was gone so we could not tell if it was broken or what. Breen was responsive but I was glad we had a very large bag of ice to put in the veg container for the night. Some of the front shades are in need of parts and probably should be replaced but other than that, it was a great place to be.

never better! you can't beat this view! the home was freshened up since two years ago when we stayed here and i liked the investment. i was a bit concerned with the floppy, oversized rugs in the living area as they had too many ripples that seemed unsafe for less able folks. something to look into.

We loved every minute of our time in Cambria- the house was perfect.

Our group of 6 was only there for two nights, but wish we could have stayed longer. Very nice and comfortable spot for us to cook and lounge on the patio. Kitchen and appliances were awesome and the living room and bedrooms were comfy. There is nothing like being lulled to sleep by the sound of the ocean outside.

Had the most amazing time, beautiful home, a view to die for, the best venue for 8 girlfriends to get away and celebrate friendship. Bedrooms were very comfy and plenty of restrooms. Best of all was the beautiful living room, kitchen area to hang out and watch the waves and visit. All have agreed to make this an annual trip. Couldn't find a better place to vacation.

My family surprised my Mother for her 80th birthday, with a weekend at Moonstone Beach, one of here favorite places in California. The home was amazing! Spectacular views, interior was beautiful. Only suggestion would be a new bbq and perhaps a fresh coat of paint on the exterior, other than that, LOVELY weekend. Would highly recommend this home. Breen Vacation Station staff were the BEST. Thank you for making my Mothers birthday a HUGE success.

This house is in an excellent location, walking distance to a few restaurants, and the views are amazing. It does need some serious updating, and the decor is pretty bad. We had to buy some windex the first day and clean the windows to enjoy the view, and we put away the silk flower arrangements because they were dusty and not pretty to look at. Other than that, it was well stocked, very comfortable, and you can't beat the location. If the owners updated it a little with some paint and some better windows, it would be perfect.

We celebrated our 50th anniversary at this beautifully located beach house in Cambria. The house was very well equipped and clean. The view's were spectacular and we were able to walk out the door and onto the boardwalk just across the street. I would highly recommend this house for anyone wanting to stay within walking distance of the beach and wonderful restaurants.

We come to Cambria every year for Valentine's Day. This is our second vrbo. Though the company and location were awesome, the house itself was run down and needed painting. Things not working: upstairs air conditioning, stove vent, down stairs fire place. The house itself had an awkward layout, upstairs bedrooms had unattached bathrooms and a bedroom downstairs was a converted den with no bathroom or closet.

We rented two homes - 8 couples from San Diego and Los Angeles - and all had a great time. The homes were good, weather was great and the overall trip was everything we envisioned.

We had four small families stay here for my 60th birthday. Even though it was raining all weekend long... why was I born in January?, it was an amazing time. This house is child friendly with a very large living area and nice sized, well stocked kitchen. Another review stated that the downstairs only has one bathroom. Yes, that is true, but everyone in my family handled that "problem" quite well. Overall, I was impressed. We will be back.

This property has spectacular views, we watched whales and dolfins and had beautiful sunsets. We were able to walk to restaurants and walk on the beach which is across the street. The property was clean. The window treatments are old and some are broken making it difficult to open so that you can enjoy the view. We had a problem with the TV in the master suite. We called the manager and it was quickly taken care of. We enjoyed our stay and are planning on returning next year.
