Beach Side Paradise - #PH38

We stayed 8 days and loved every second of our trip. Getting to the beach is an easy walk down one flight of stairs and on the beach you are! The kitchen was wonderful to cook in. We cooked most of our dinners on site which was so easy to do. Plenty of dinner ware, pots and pans and glasses. The outside BBQ was clean and excellent which we used about 4 times. Everything was provided for in the home including washing machine detergent. The balcony and outside patio was excellent and very enjoyable. You can walk to Moonstone Beach and enjoy the beach area there along with all of the wonderful restaurants. You can even walk to the town of Cambria in literally 10 mins max. Would definitely highly recommend and would stay here again. There were 6 of us total and we had plenty of room to spread out.

We love the view and the location to town. Cambria is a wonderful relaxing place to visit. The house itself needs some maintenance and updating. We we there for a week and went out to eat for only one lunch. The pots and pans are old and nasty looking or slim pickings. There are plenty of sheets but the comforters need to be replaced. The one in the back bedroom looks pretty dirty. This was our third time staying at this property. As I said at the beginning the view can’t be beat.

This was our second time renting this home. It is perfectly maintained, beautifully decorated and has the best spot on Moonstone Beach!

It starts with arrival, get keys and a new fantastic wine-J Dusi-2020 Model M-(we bought 5 cases)-Then Jackie is called over to explain the "dueling TV remotes" to the most gadget challenged man in the State...note:one of several trips but she was always patient and friendly.
Next the 2 window washers showed up on time and did a perfect job on all the windows...after all why rent the place if the view is cloudy ?
Mid-stay the housekeeper arrived on time, with a big smile and when we returned, she made the house look like a jewel box.
Everybody in the office was 100% professional, friendly and responded to whatever we needed & the response was always done quickly.
ALL IN ALL AN A+ for everyone--what a pleasure to deal with people with that level of competence and professionalism.

We had a wonderful week in Cambria. The view is spectacular. We cooked all seven days so I would suggest the kitchen could use some new pans, glasses, and silverware. Also my husband uses a walker so grap bars in the shower and by the toilet would have been helpful. The house was clean and very close to town.

We absolutely loved staying at this house! My family enjoyed having common areas to spend time together instead of getting separate hotel rooms. With three bathrooms and three bedrooms, it was a dream with an unbeatable view. Wish we could have stayed longer!

There are so many mixed reviews on this property, but don't think twice about reserving this house! The location is 5 stars, the house is 5 stars, the view is 5 stars, the kitchen is 5 stars. The only cons: 1. we ran out of propane the last day. 2. I think the cleaners should spend more time on the exterior of the windows. We had to clean them ourselves, but still worth it for the view.

This rental is a fantastic choice for a relaxing beach vacation in a quaint town. The small town had so much character. The dining options were excellent. There were a few minor things in the home that could probably be maintained better but you can’t beat the views. Overall we were very satisfied with the property.

House did not have any coffee filters - how is a renter to know what kind of coffee maker the house has? And, I don’t want to have to go shopping once I arrive at the rental. Give me a coffee filter for coffee in the morning over a bottle of inexpensive wine. Many of the kitchen drawer hardware was worn, making the drawers very difficult to open and close. Replace the drawer hardware. The duvet cover had someone else’ hair on it, as if it had not been washed before our arrival. White towels were a bit dingy - use some bleach or get some new towels. The electrical system has as short in it somewhere. When the heater would kick-on, the lights would flash and dim in the house. Many light bulbs were burned out in the house, including one in living room ceiling, one under kitchen cabinet to left of sink. The table lamp is a 3-way light bulb with a on/off bulb in the lamp. The house needs TLC, painting, & deep cleaning. The dryer vent was clogged (told us at check-in a service person was coming in two days - would not give a refund of any sort for lack of dryer use.). When service man came to service dryer, he found that exterior dryer vent was completely clogged with 1’ x 1’ x 1.5” thick sheet of dryer lint - a fire waiting to happen. Towel bar in first guest bath rigged to wall - not functioning. Heating ducts all dirty as if there was a fire in system. Television remote control batteries went out without replacements available. House lacking a cookie sheet, s & p, light under microwave (and only light at stove) burned out. Visited this house with friends last October and reported this issue then; light still not replaced above stove/below microwave. Shelf under master sinks hasn't been dusted in months. Ice maker makes a horrible noise when making ice, paid $25 for misc. hh supplies in expenive rental - doesn’t work for me - doesn’t compute. View is great. Give me coffee filters over wine; do a maj

We had a lovely stay and enjoyed the view and sound of the waves. the house was clean and the beds comfortable. We would suggest that the bottom of the stairs to the beach be repaired. They are difficult to navigate. and there is no railing there. However, you can walk over two houses to the park and use those stairs to get down to the beach easily.

The view/location is absolutely THE BEST! Walk through the gates onto the massive outdoor deck and the waves and quiet beach just blow you away. The kitchen is well outfitted to cook; seating is plentiful. Check-in and -out was easy.

Great place for family vacation! A very clean and well-maintained house that can easily accommodate six people. Easy access down to the quiet part of Moonstone Beach. Only about a mile away from great hiking areas and only about five minutes away from downtown Cambria.

The only issue that came up and was relatively minor was that the TV remotes did not have batteries. We had to cobble together batteries from the various remotes that only had one in them to get working remotes. The issue was presented to the management company when we left and they assured us it would be taken care of for the next guest.

Yes, oceanfront rentals cost a bit more, but this one is certainly worth the price. Our first oceanfront rental where the floor to ceiling windows facing the ocean were spotlessly clean making the views even more spectacular. A beautiful, very clean, fully furnished, and well-equipped home in a fantastic location.
The folks at Breen Vacation Station made the reservation and check in/out process very easy.

This was not my first stay at this home. I return for a reason, the house is beautiful and so are the views. The entire house is so nice and comfortable. I would highly recommend this home for a great vacation getaway.

This was my 3rd stay at this beautiful home on the beach. The home is perfect for beach vacations. It’s so comfortable with beautiful views of the ocean.

Walking on the beach searching for sea glass was one of the highlights of our visit. 6 adults stayed very comfortably in this lovey beach front home. Short walk to town for shopping and dining. Check in was a breeze. The Breen Vacation rentals staff were friendly, helpful and offered excellent suggestions for dining. Would definitely stay here again.

This is our 2nd year in a row staying in this home! We LOVE this place and are always so happy with the view, the access to the beach, the deck is safe for little children and we all (3 couples and 3 small children, 2 in pack-in-plays and one in a blow up twin bed at the end of the King Master bedroom, previous approval was given) fit cozy in this house! There are basically 2 master suites, the one in the front has a beautiful full bathroom and walk-in shower, with heated floors, large dining room table for meals. There is so much to do, you can walk 1 mile to town, 1 mile to Fiscalini Ranch, bike trails...and the best is the beach is right out your backdoor (park for the littles only 3 doors down). Sunsets are beautiful every night! I wish we owned this home or could afford to come more often, would be here more often! Note...don’t unplug the booster for the internet in the spare bedroom in the hall, I made that mistake and we didn’t have tv or wifi service...oops! Or, was it really a mistake...? We only were on our devices to take pics and just enjoyed our time together! The bbq could use an update...but it did the job. They updated the stove, which was a plus too. The back bedroom does have a hint of a skunk odor, which was not unbearable.

Just a couple of very "minor" repair items, (nothing huge), but, we reported them to Glenda and Robert, and they were very understanding and we felt like our comments were well received :)

The view from this house was amazing. It's nice and warm inside with the fireplace. The 3 bed 3 bath setup is cool. Unfortunately the house has been skunked oh, and the whole house smells because of this. We stayed at the house even with the smell and it wasn't so bad, but if you're sensitive to bad smells then this is not the house for you.

Second time here and we will be back! So clean, relaxing and all around wonderful! Love the master bath remodel!!!!

This place exceeded our expectations. Beautiful scenery very quiet and can hear the waves all through the house. The place was very clean inside and out. Will definitely want to stay here again. Everyone was courteous and very friendly.

We were all VERY satisfied with our amenities both inside the home and the location (right on Moonstone Beach!! No road in-between!). It felt luxurious. We never went "out" for meals (cooked in every meal or had take-out) because this home/the front deck/beach, was the only place we truly wanted to be. The views of the ocean throughout the day/sunset were spectacular (even saw dolphins, seals, sea otters and pelicans routinely), and we loved hearing the crashing of the waves at night as we drifted off to sleep.

Only request from "Nana": she wished the mattress in the back bedroom was more comfortable ("too thin/felt like a futon"). Outside of that, it was perfect.

Oh, two other notes:
1) the cushion of the wicker chaisse lounge next to the front window is starting to lose it's firmness---feels like it may need replacing (?). All other furniture, though, in the Living Room/Master Bedroom was VERY comfortable, and could sit reading/visiting/enjoying gas fire/watching TV for hours.
2) We didn't realize the Master Bedroom was not fully enclosed/private/sound-proof (large folding closet doors separated Master Bedroom from Living Room). While it worked for us without any problem (with immediate family), good for folks to be aware that Master not fully private.

Finally, Breen Realty very responsive to questions and helpful as well.

3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, beautiful open living room and kitchen area were perfect for us! Loved the fact that there were walking, hiking trails so near to us. Loved Cambria....Shopping: Farmers' Market, yarn shop, small quaint shops. Food: Linn's was fabulous and Lombardi's was like going to Italy! Breen people told us about "Wine Wrangler!" Michael picked us up and took us to 4 wineries for tasting in Paso Robles!!! We toured the Heart Castle and saw the incredible elephant seals! Our Beach Side Paradise was just that! (They had just remodeled the master bathroom!) We were thrilled to stay so close to the ocean.

Simply the most relaxing getaway possible. This is our second stay at this home. Master bath upgrade is very nice. Master bedroom is not very private--louvered doors open to maximize ocean view. We didn't mind.

This home is right on the sand. You can walk on the beach. Gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. The home is very comfortable and relaxing. Perfect location to walk into town.

This was a wonderful place. And being able to walk to Moonstone Beach was great.
