Month Long-Cambria by the Sea- #PH59

This is my second stay in this lovely, dog friendly apartment. Upon first entering, you will notice that things are pristinely clean. The decorations are beautiful, the furniture cozy. The owners are extremely accommodating. There is a fenced in back yard for my dog. The beach is just down the street. I am so comfortable and happy here, and I have stayed in many different houses in Cambria.

Cambria by the Sea is a great place to stay. I traveled with my small dog and having sole use of a fenced yard for her was great. The downstairs apartment with it's own entrance was light and clean and well appointed with supplies. The bedrooms were spacious with comfortable beds. The owners Marci and Allen were in the house above us for one week of my stay and were welcoming and helpful with tips for restaurants and things to do. The house is just a short walk to Shamel Park and Moonstone Beach.

I spent two glorious months in this apartment in Cambria. It was squeaky clean and oh so cozy. I cooked most of the time, and anything I needed was there. The back yard was private with imitation grass, a gazebo, and picnic table. The location is very private and just a block away from Shamal Park...FABULOUS LOCATION! I already have reservations for my next vacation.

Cambria in the future. The apartment is very clean, and cozy. I cook a lot, and everything I needed was always available. The big, brown, recliner is so very comfortable for tv watching! There is a lovely garden and gazebo for sitting or dining outdoors. At the bottom a the street is the park and ocean. Such a perfect location!

Cozy vacation getaway in the perfect location! We really enjoyed our stay at Cambria by the Sea. The unit was cozy and really well decorated and comfortable. Our dogs were very happy with the outside space as were we!

I'd give it 10 stars but they only allow 5. The unit was exactly as described. A spotless apartment with a well equipped kitchen. We had exclusive use of the garden and gazebo that our large dog (and us) really appreciated. The owners were on site and welcomed us with gracious hospitality.

The home was beautiful, just as described. The hosts happened to be staying in their portion of the house for a bit while we were there and they were wonderful. The issue is with Breen management who tacks on an extra 10% fee, which was a complete surprise. I balked of course, but they said that they had to charge this in order to recover the fees that VRBO charges them. Well at least they were honest! I had no recourse but to pay. I raised a concern with both VRBO and with the owners but they both said that this was up to the property manager. So, evaluate this property knowing that it will cost 10% more than what VRBO says. I think it's a very questionable business practice and makes me reluctant to use VRBO in the future. I use the rival company whose name begins with "A" and ends in "BnB" much more frequently and will continue to do so because I've NEVER had this situation come up on one of their properties.

This place was clean and comfortable with everything you need for an extended stay. I will point out a couple of things that would have made the stay better: the second bedroom did not have heating/AC. The rental agency suggested I leave the door open, which was a privacy concern for us. There are no beach chairs at the property, which for me in the fall wasn’t an issue, but in the summer may be. Bring a flashlight as once it gets dark it’s really hard to navigate from the drive way to the door. One other thing I wasn’t expected, there are 3 doors in the unit that lead to the upstairs unit. They lock from the other side, which I found to be a little concerning from a security perspective. Other than this is really is a comfortable place to stay and convenient to everything in Cambria.
