Inn Above Tide is as advertised: The house is right on the water and each room and deck provides views of the water and sounds of the ocean waves. The house is easy to settle into and very comfortable and is stocked with everything you need. The folks at Breen are organized, efficient and so easy to work with. Can't wait to settle in here again.

Dreamy property. Breath taking views from all sides of the house. Comfy. Walking distance to the trails. Ideal for a couple. The upstairs loft/game room has two twins so there is room for 4, but no privacy or way to block out kitchen or TV noise from that area. The master is perfect however.

This home has become a special seaside retreat for us. It’s very comfortable and could not be in a better location. It overlooks a gorgeous section of Cambria’s coast. The ocean here is spectacular and this home allows the most pristine views. Seals, otters and sea birds were easy to spot despite some big surf over the New Year’s holiday weekend. I love this home and hope we can return often to share in the beauty of this magical place.

This year was our third time to stay in this great property with the folks from Breen. You just can't get closer to the ocean and nothing beats going to sleep with the sounds of waves crashing literally yards from your back deck. And speaking of the deck, our favorite thing about the property besides the location is the gas fire can get chilly in Cambria after the sun goes down and the fire pit means you can stay outside anytime and not get cold. All in all, our favorite place to vacation.

This place was amazing. An older home sitting on this beautiful location. Over 180 degrees views of the pacific Coast. Very comfortable home, clean and warm. Provides basic amenities in the kitchen, beds very comfortable with a fireplace too.

Walking distance to Fiscalini Ranch blocks away. I would highly recommend this place and I so can't wait to return.

The Inn Above Tide was absolutely amazing. The views from every room were spectacular. The master bedroom with views of the Pacific Ocean & a fireplace made for incredible restful sleep. If we ever venture back to Cambria, we will definitely stay there again.

Our third visit to this property and never fails to be a delightful experience. The ocean views are spectacular and sitting on the deck watching the otters was great. The location is perfect, minutes from Cambria and within walking distance of the Fiscalini Preserve. Careful when driving since the resident deer are ever present. We plan many more visits to this fabulous residence.

This was our 3rd year staying here and no doubt we will stay here again in 2024. It's right on the bluff overlooking the ocean, has a hot tub on one of the decks and it's only about a 2 block walk to the Fiscalini Ranch Preserve where there are many trails. We like the one mile walk along the bluff. At times, however, it can be too cold and windy to sit on the deck which is why we're always concerned about clean windows as there is a big couch upstairs facing the ocean and a bit of the coast which is great. (Windows were perfect so thanks Breen) It's a bit of a drive to town but no problem. Thanks to Haleigh at Breen for a good contact here.
We used to stay in a motel on Moonstone Beach Dr but decided it would be nice to rent a house instead for the 3 of us retired seniors and we're glad we did and glad we found this place.

Our second stay at Inn, we loved it just as much as the first time. Location, location, location! This charming property sits along a beautiful stretch of the central coast. There's nothing like watching a sunset here while listening to the waves crash right out the back patio door. Twelve sea otters floated by as we watched the sun setting on our final evening! The proximity to Fiscalini Ranch Preserve only enhances the stay. We love the Cambria area especially the ocean front properties. We love Inn Above the Tide. We also appreciated the quality service delivered by the Breen team. We'll certainly be back again and again.

Our favorite rental in Cambria. From a comfortable sofa one can watch the broad swath of tides come and go, sunsets, otters and seals playing in the water, pelicans flying, egrets and herons searching for frogs in the meadows. Hiking on Fiscalini Ranch Preserve is just steps away. The home is clean, comfortable, well stocked and beautifully decorated.

I hope future price increases do not place it out of our reach!

I think we are on our 6th stay at this house. We love it. The view is phenomenal and it’s an easy few steps to the beach from stairs on the property. Breen has always been so helpful if we ever needed it. It’s become the place we love to go when we need some peace and quiet and beauty.

This is our 2nd time to rent this particular property. It can get chilly right on the coast, especially in October, and this time we REALLY appreciated the gas fire pit, so we could literally enjoy being outside anytime day, or night. The property itself is a 3-level home with great amenities and one of the best beds I have ever slept on. Especially when the master bedroom is so near the ocean. Highly recommend this property and the folks at Breen.

Second stay at this property and as always it provides spectacular ocean views. Property is right on the waters edge and the upstairs balcony is a great place to watch a sunset. An issue came up after our stay and I had fortunately walked through the unit upon arriving and noted the problem. Will not hesitate to stay at this rental again.

This is a small house but just right for the three of us seniors. We enjoy being right on the coast and having it be a short walk to the Fiscalini Ranch where we like to walk the mile across and back right along the cliff. Housekeeping does an excellent job. Guess the only thing that they could improve on is when you first walk in the door it would be nice to see totally clean windows in the living room instead of streaked ones. We do know that the seaspray does take a toll though and other windows where cleaned. Certainly not a deterrent to staying here again though. Hopefully we can stay here in 2023 also.

The Inn Above the Tide is such a special place. This is my third time staying at this wonderful seaside sanctuary. This vacation was over the Christmas holiday and it was just perfect! My 86 year old mother had a magical Christmas day watching sea otters diving for snacks and floating on the waves. This trip was about creating new family memories and this house made everything so special. The energy is incredibly relaxing as you’re literally immersed in such spectacular ocean views. The central coast is amazing and this home sits in a particularly beautiful spot. I highly recommend this property and I can’t wait to come back!

Our rental was comfy and had a breathtaking view. The sunset from our 2nd floor balcony was amazing. The house had 3 gas fireplaces and wonderful recliner couch in the living room. The master bedroom had a deck with hot tub and king size bed. The number of windows in this rental added much, every room had an ocean view. We plan to make this an annual stay in Cambria!

It doesn't get much closer to the ocean than Inn Above Tide . You can literally throw a rock and hit the water from the back deck. The home is a unique, split level property. There are two sets of stairs in the unit, so if you have knee issues, best to avoid this one..but we loved everything about it. Modern amenities and very private. We WILL be back.!!

This is the perfect beach cottage for a true ocean lover. The views are spectacular from every room! It’s private, comfortable and incredibly relaxing. We saw sea otters and harbor seals everyday. Easy stairway access from the house leads you to awesome tide pools and beach combing. You literally have the ocean as your backyard! The hot tub was an amazing spot to watch the sunset every night too:) I’ve enjoyed this house for a girls trip and now bringing my 86 year old mother for rest and relaxation. She called it her dream home. We’ve already booked another stay! We are looking forward to our next adventure in this magical home.

We have been coming to Cambria for years and have picked favorite places to stay. This was our first time @ Inn Above Tides and it impressed us the moment we walked in the door. So much natural lighting, so much homespun comfort and then the view! This house afforded so many different views and all from the same property.

The inn was a surprise to my wife for our "annual honeymoon" going on 55 years of celebrating it. She couldn't have been more pleased. The view is impossible to beat. The house was not only convenient, comfortable, and clean but also very creatively decorated with taste and style. We certainly hope to be back.

We have stayed at In Above Tide 4 times now and we love it every time. You can't get any closer to the water! The king bed is super comfortable and the house is all around comfortable. It has always been super clean also. You can see a view of the ocean from anywhere in the house. There is also stairs down to the beach which really makes it for us. With the few things we have had wrong like having a problem with the internet, Breen has been very helpful. I can't say enough good things about this house.

We have stayed here several times before and absolutely love it. It has spoiled us for other places. We always compare everything to it. You can’t get any closer to the water. We have even seen a male elephant seal swimming down coast which was quite a thrill for me. There are otters, harbor seals and vultures who keep one entertained. The master bed is really comfortable also. Breen was very helpful and very easy to deal with. I highly recommend Inn Above Tide

We have traveled many times, in and out of the US, but this place takes top prize for the setting. The 4 of us, a retired couple and 2 adult kids.... found the home just fine for 4. We gave the kids the king bed/suite and we took the loft. Comfy beds, and the loft beds worked fine for my 6’4 husband...just hung off the end a bit. With the pandemic raging in CA, we just hunkered down and played lots of cards, board games and did hours of simply ocean gazing....What a spectacular, breath taking, heart expanding spot to be during such crazy times!!!. We walked the nearby trails, (love all the cool benches!) we biked around a bit on our own bikes, and we made a promise to return for the kids 5th wedding anniversary. The price point Is more than we usually spring for, but worth every penny!!! So happy with our choice, with Breen, and with the gracious family home owners for sharing their special spot.

We have stayed here before and loved it so much the first time that we we wanted to stay here again. The king bed is really comfortable! There is lots of bird life, seals, sea otters and deer. I actually saw a male Elephant Seal. We hardly ever left to go into town because we didn’t want leave our view. When we got home, we realized my husband forgot his wallet there. Breen fedexed it to us really fast. We really appreciated their speed in doing that!!!! All in all a really wonderful experience!!!!

We enjoyed the great views of the ocean from several rooms. It was nice to have area specific books to read to help plan our days. The movie and music collection were also nice additions. The gas logs and fire pit helped knock the chill off in the early morning and evening.

We arrived after a beautiful drive down the PCH and couldn’t believe our eyes. The cottage was better than the pictures had promised. Everything was ready, nothing was missing. We have stayed in many rental homes over the past 20 years and not 1 has been this ready. There was even a 1000 piece puzzle and the cribbage board and cards we had forgotten at home.

Cambria is a darling town with very good food and drink options. We loved the eclectic mix of options and were not disappointed.

Having never been to the central coast we weren’t sure what to expect but we will be back. Hopefully every year from now on. It was the perfect escape from reality.

Excellent rental. We stayed at the Inn Above Tide while our son attended camp at Cal Poly. Amazing location on the beach with two decks opening to the sea. The view is better than the pictures. Cambria was the perfect relaxing town.

Excellent cottage. One bedroom suite downstairs and loft with 2 day beds upstairs. Great living room and kitchen.

This house is situated in an amazing location. At high tide, you are on top of the water when on the balcony. It was a bit cold outside so the fireplaces inside and fire pit outside were very appreciated. The lower deck with the glass around it was great when it got a bit windy. We saw 16 species of birds, 6 Mule Deer, several Sea Otters, several Harbor Seals and 1 male Elephant Seal. Wow! It was a quiet and secluded place to really unwind. Loved it!!!

This property was the perfect escape the So Cal heat with temperatures ranging between between 55 and 69 degrees during our stay. The location was a short drive to wine tasting in Paso (recommend Anarchy Winery), Avila Beach and seeing the enormous elephant seals. We did lose the house key and the property manager left his dinner to meet us at the office to give us another key. It was a great trip to be repeated annually.

Can’t beat the views

We were greeted by a beautiful home complete with everything we needed for our one week stay. Fresh linens and towels, a well appointed home with all the comforts. We enjoyed our time and would come back without hesitation!

My wife and I were at Inn Above Tide to celebrate our 30th Anniversary and it was magnificent. The views are spectacular and the close proximity to Fiscallini Nature Preserve is an absolute bonus. The home is super clean and well taken care of. The Kitchen has some supplies to cook and serve meals. It’s not a huge house but super comfortable for two.
