Ocean Mist - #LH13

We love Cambria and vacation here often. Ocean Mist offers the peace and tranquility we look for this time of year. It's comfortable, the light shines through in the upstairs family room and kitchen, and it is appointed with care. We will return. Carol and Fred

Super cute house, with a fabulous view. We had a relaxing vacation with a clear view to the ocean.. the upstairs space is bright and sunny.... Perfect for a week long get away from the LA heat. Management folks were helpful and sweet.

Our stay at Ocean Mist was wonderful. When I arrived, the house was spotlessly clean, and I am very picky about that. It is bright and cheery. There were screens in the windows so that we could open the windows without worrying about bugs and other critters coming in. All the shades worked, and several were new. The downstairs bath is now part of the master suite, so that both bedrooms no longer open to the same bathroom. The massage chair is gone, and the living room looks nicer and fresher. The TV’s in the living room and master bedroom work great. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the only things it could use are a better spatula and a new toaster. There is permanent condensation between the panes of glass on the door from the living room to the upstairs deck, so that needs to be repaired or replaced. The house had been updated and fixed up since I stayed there last August. All the appliances worked, but the dryer makes a screeching noise so needs to be fixed.

The neighborhood is very calm and quiet. Everyone says hello when you are out walking. There are lots of dogs, and my dog thoroughly enjoyed her stay at Ocexn zMist and her many many walks to Lampton Cliffs Park and on the trails of the Fiscalini Ranch. We encountered lots of wildlife- deer in the neighborhood and on the ranch, lots of herons and other birds, a skunk ( fortunately from a distance), a small snake ( Aldo from a distance), bunnies, ground squirrels, etc.

We had great dinners at Indigo Moon, Robin’s, Sow’s Ear, and picked up food to go at Linn’s and Wild Ginger. But the highlight was dinner three nights at the Sea Chest.

Haley and Jackie at Breen Vacation Station were friendly, welcoming, and very responsive. They quickly made sure that the outdoor barbecue on the patio was fixed and in working order, promptly sent an electrician to fix the light in the master bedroom closet, and Haley herself hit on a ladder and stopped the smoke alarm

Loved the house and location but...the driveway had a hump steep drop, rather than a smooth transition, so we were unable to park in the driveway as it rubbed against the undercarriage of our car. County does not allow street parking but we had no choice. Would like to have been closer to town to walk to town, but too far and dangerously thin, twisted roadways. No sidewalks.

We really loved this property! The location was perfect - we could walk to Fiscalini Preserve, and Main Street was only a 5 minute drive away. The layout of the house was great for our family as well. We also enjoyed sitting out on the balcony and taking in the ocean view.

With no access to garage with all the rain, it made things a bit difficult. Was not expecting 2 bedrooms downstairs with 2nd bathroom upstairs.

The property was very clean and we were able to check in a bit early. Breen Vacation Station provided excellent customer service. They made certain the gas barbecue was ready to go and provided a bottle of wine at check in. The only suggestion we have is to update the rather worn furniture and beds. The double/ full bed in the guest room was sagging in the middle, very uncomfortable and too small for two people. The kitchen is extremely well stocked with herbs, spices, cooking/baking/serving items and other essentials. This location in Cambria can not be beat. We highly recommend this rental!

Just a couple blocks from the beach, had nice afternoons sitting on the sand and listening to the waves. The house had a convenient layout with a balcony with an ocean view. The furniture was comfortable and we had a great time- for a pet friendly house one of the best choices.

We had a fabulous vacation at Ocean Mist! The home was bright, clean, and comfortable. The location is halfway between the Fiscalini Rsnch and its beautiful walking trails and Lampton Cliffs Park. It has a very spacious patio in front of the house with a dining table for 6 and a gas barbecue
and a small upstairs deck. We were two blocks from beach access and could hear the sea lions barking.

The kitchen was very well equipped, including a French press for coffee, a food processor and a blender, and the appliances look relatively new.

The beds are very comfortable, and one has a huge walk-in closet.

The only negatives are that the two bedrooms have a full bathroom in between them with sliding doors between each bedroom and the bathroom but no locks on the doors. The second bathroom is upstairs. Also, there are no screens on the upstairs windows.

The threshold where you enter the house was cracked and needs replacing,
and the batteries for the flashlights and battery-operated candles need to be replaced.

All in all, Ocean Mist is terrific, and I would stay there again.

The person in the office who greeted us and gave us the door code and internet information was not great. She did not offer us a bottle of wine and the internet network name thst she gave us was incorrect. She said she would be in the office until 4 pm if we had any questions, but when we called about the internet at 3:35 pm, she was gone and we got voicemail. Fortunately a very nice young woman brought the refilled propane tank and was able to help us open a door we couldn’t open and find the correct internet network.
We went back to Breen’s office the next day and got our bottle of wine. The
two women there exceptionally nice and friendly.

We love Ocean Mist. It feels like home and we wish we could have stayed longer. Perfect location, relaxing environment, and everything one needs is provided. (except no propane in the grill). Other than that, we just used the stove. Our dog rembered her last stay, so she also felt right at home. We love it there and plan to make our third visit next time. The management takes care of all arrangements and thanks for the wine.

We enjoyed our stay in Cambria at the Ocean Mist house on Windsor. It was refreshingly cool near the ocean, with cool air and often mist in the AM. The house suited our needs well, with close proximity to the ocean and the walking trails. We appreciated the service call to replace the empty propane tank on the BBQ, which enabled us to have a nice cookout. We'll recommend this house to our friends.

My husband and I stayed in Ocean Mist for 5 nights and had the most wonderful experience, everything about it was perfect. The location is amazing with views of the ocean and very close proximity to ocean access and the Fiscalinni Preserve. The house was stocked with all we needed, including spices to cook with. We also grilled fresh fish on the patio and enjoyed the birds, deer, and little bunnies. Our dog was safe behind the picket fence and she loved watching people walk by with their dogs. Carmen was amazing, she came by to get the tv working for us, even though it was after 5:00. She was so sweet and we appreciated her concern for our stay. We slept great, ate great, and truly can not wait to return.

Loved the peace and quiet of this sweet house. Great little fenced yard for our dogs. Very clean and everything you could possibly need in the kitchen.
Would have liked a king bed in one room, and would have liked to be able to open the bedroom window just a crack at least...

The house is nice but not clean. Cobwebs with spiders and batches of dust clouds are tucked away until the wind blows in. The skillets are old and extremely scratched.Windows are super rusty and had a hard time opening for some air. Grill doesn't grill. Location is nice, but super far away from everything. The house is well stocked with towels, blankets, spices, utensils, and other kitchenware. Master bedroom has a terrible bed. Bathroom downstairs needs locks. Overall, enjoyed the house.

Great location... the living room needs some update for comfort, but the home has everything, clean and the best location. Love it.

We have several houses we have rented over the years in Cambria but Ocean Mist was a new one for us this time. We loved the location of this one, and it will be a keeper on our list. So close to the Fascilini Reserve for walks, a block or so to the tide pools, and it felt like we were very secluded in that neighborhood.
Loved the outdoor area for for the dog and I to sit in the sun. We barbequed on the really nice barbeque several nights. Really nice next door neighbor. Bedrooms and bathrooms were comfortable and quiet. Loved that they were downstairs to bring luggage in. As we continue to make our many journeys for the peace and quiet of Cambria, I think this house will be on the top of our list.

This property was located perfectly within steps from the ocean! We had a wonderful time and enjoyed our stay. A great hike very scenic is also very close to the property. Very clean! We loved the décor of the house too. We tried to cook something in the oven and fire alarm was activated even though no visible fumes around. However we appreciated the safety. We would love to go back again! Cambria is our favorite place

The house is in a fantastic location. You can see, hear and smell the ocean! I wanted to give it 5 stars BUT BEWARE the crazy loud construction going on next door which is literally 5 feet away. Saws, drills, banging and yelling all day starting at 8 am sadly. Wish the management company would have told us. Just check in with them when it will be done. Loved it otherwise.

Our family of 4 and our 2 dogs very Mitch enjoyed our stay at Ocean Mist property. It’s location was perfect for a leisurely stroll to the beach and also to the entrance to the Fiscalini Ranch which we absolutely adore!
The house is nicely furnished and the kitchen was well stocked for preparing our means and enjoying the scenery in the comfort of this lovely
home. We loved the little yard and the beautiful succulent garden.
The home has a very nice view of the ocean and our only complaint Is that we wished the windows were cleaner so we could enjoy the beautiful views even more.
Since our stay here back in June, we have recommended this property to our friends. They have recently booked it for their weekend stay in Cambria.

Met my Brother and his wife from New Mexico to Celebrate my 66th here. The place was very nice. Very clean and tidy. The view from the terrrace is just the right size for 4 people.Viewing the deer and the Ocean from there ,Very peaceful.The place has plenty of linens. appliances are up to date, flat screen tv's.The beds were very comfortable.Nice looking flooring, Beautiful walk-in closet in mstr bdrm.Cooked a couple of meals which we had planed, pots and pans were a litle old but we managed. The tubs do need some none-slip pads though, so bring your own or call mngmnt. Over-all we had a wonderful stay and wouldn't hesitate to a revisit. Till next year, PEACE.

We had a lovely time at Ocean Mist. The bedrooms were comfortable and inviting and the larfe room upstairs had great views. It would have been nice to have screens on the windows, and another comfy chair upstairs. Our beautiful front patio, however, was attacked by a flock of seagull droppings and we couldn't use the outside table or BBQ. Just unfortunate seaside living, I guess.

We stayed in the Ocean Mist home for a week. It was perfect for our needs and we enjoyed the easy access to Fiscalini Ranch for our every day walks. Very quiet.

It was just the two of us. If you stay with two couples, you would probably want to know them pretty well, since the bedrooms are close together. And be prepared to walk up and down stairs frequently! The upstairs living area provides a nice, partial view of the ocean.

Wonderful house, nice views, great yard for your dogs. Our stay was lovely, the house is very nice. Kitchen was great with everything we needed to cook. Beds were very comfortable. Only one negative couch and chair upstairs very hard and not comfortable. We had some ants and TV was a little hard to figure out, they need better instructions for the TV. Other than that it was a great stay and would rent again if they had more comfortable furniture upstairs.

We truly enjoyed this lovely home and will definitely return in the future. The massage chair is awesome and it felt so good to sit in it in front of a warm fire and have relax time with a glass of wine.

I stayed here over Thanksgiving with my 4 children. Downstairs has the bedrooms (2) and a little mostly finished garage with a couch. Beds are on the smaller side if you need space for people to sleep. There is also a couch upstairs in the family room. The couches made it possible for us to sleep comfortably. Upstairs has a family room, kitchen and full bath. It opens up to a balcony that has a beautiful partial view of the ocean. Very clean home with a double oven. There is no garage if that matters to anyone. Outdoor ground floor patio is very nice. Easy to check out. Location is amazing just a block from the ocean. If you enjoy walking/running, the house is a few blocks from Fiscalini Ranch. We would stay again for sure! Thank you for letting us use your beautiful home.

This house was PERFECT for a Father's Day Weekend getaway w/my daughter and SIL. Beautiful ocean view, immaculate property and we were visited by a family of deer Saturday evening! Definitely recommend!

My husband is very handy and noted that there is so much repair this house needs that we could be there a week working and still have plenty to do. But we did enjoy our time - the bed was comfortable, the kitchen well stocked, the TV easy to work and the location is very quiet and peaceful. The dog loved the yard and we could let her roam the perimeter assured that she couldn't get out.
There were ants in the kitchen, seems they live underneath the (loose) counter top. I battled them the whole stay but it made me feel at home. The yard needs work. BTW - we'd be glad to come up and do all of that anytime.

The home was lovely and ocean views were stunning. What a restful and relaxing break from city life. I'd definitely stay at this location again.

House is clean and tidy, really appreciate the absence of so much decor (i.e. Vases, decorative bowls, etc) on the dresser and kitchen countertop. Bed in master was super comfortable to me as I like a firm mattress. More expanded cable TV would be nice though. Flatter ground made it easier for me to walk dog so location is excellent. I can't think of any way to improve this house. Have stayed here before and will stay here again.

This was our 6th visit to Ocean Mist & as usual, it was a success! The house is always clean & well maintained. The beds are comfortable & the setting is perfect. Being next door to the Fiscallini Reserve makes for excellent walking. Wonderful restaurants & Hearst Castle are only a short drive away. Love it!

Where should I begin? Our stay in The Ocean Mist house was nothing less than an amazing experience. Not really a surprise anymore because we know that all Breen vacation homes are absolutely beautiful! Thank you Breen Realty for another great vacation home you've provided to the Alvarado family!

The staff was very welcoming and helpful with information about Cambria.We were also given a complimentary bottle of wine that was awesome.The house was well kept and provided a cozy retreat when it rained.We would definitely stay again.

The location was beautiful and very quiet. It was an easy walk to Fascalini Ranch Trails. The property management company and maintenance man responded quickly to our request for help with TV and fireplace. Although we enjoyed it and would rent in the area again, we would not rent this particular property again unless sofa & master bed had been replaced. The sofa was very worn. Both were very uncomfortable. Fortunately, there were only 2 of us, but had there been 4, there would not have been enough comfortable seating. Additionally, the fireplace would tend to flare up, when turned on. (Stand back!) Otherwise, property was clean and well stocked. We gave 4 stars overall, because of the couch, bed, and fireplace. Although we would recommend property, it would only be under the condition that these items had been replaced/fixed. Cambria is a beautiful small town with wonderful shops, restaurants, and plenty to see and do. Loved Cambria!!

This was one of many stays in Cambria and it did not disappoint. Although we experienced the full spectrum of weather conditions, the location was perfect for walking to Fiscalini Ranch trails and local ocean views. The house was mostly comfortable, although the couch was and issue for my back. The property was clean, no issues with the appliances and the rental process went without a hitch. I would recommend the property to anyone.

There are two bedrooms. The master is nice. The second is a double bed with one side up against the wall so no bedside table. The master and 2nd bedroom share an adjoined, or Jack 'n Jill bathroom. 2nd bathroom is on another floor.
Could use a couple comfortable chairs upstairs. Couch nice. 1 leather chair nice. Would have liked a couple more chairs for seating.

This home was just what I was looking for! Great location with spectacular views of the ocean. Sunrise on the deck with a cup of coffee and sunset with a glass of wine. Very relaxing weekend .

great time visiting with old friends to celebrate another old friend's wedding. Beautiful cycling up Santa Rosa Creek Rd with my kids and walking on the bluffs. We will be back but I am expecting more typical foggy weather, not the warm sun we enjoyed with no wind. Have not tried the complementary wine yet.

This home is charming and full of character. My husband,I and our two (well behaved) golden retrievers throughly enjoyed our stay. The house is small, but well thought out. The two bedrooms are on the first floor, which, means you have wonderful views from the living area upstairs. The bedrooms do share a full bath, jack and jill style, not sure that two adult couples would be comfortable in that situation. There is another bath with a shower upstairs. The home is well looked after and the location is beautiful and quiet.

This is our 4th stay at Ocean Mist. This beautiful property has a great location with views out to the sea. Fiscalini Ranch is right next door for long walks along the cliffs or up on the ridge through the pines. The house itself is clean & cozy. The beds are comfy & the kitchen well-stocked. We always enjoy our time here. We recommend this property highly!

We really didn't want to leave. What a wonderful cottage in a quiet neighborhood. We had our two golden's with us and we planned on riding our bikes every day that we could. The dogs loved the nearby dog beaches and the beautiful Fiscalini Ranch Preserve is only 3 blocks away. We also road our road bikes up and down Hwy One as well as up Santa Rosa Creek Road, which was recently partially repaved. If you are into cycling, this is a beautiful road with a challenging climb a few miles before it crosses Hwy 46.

The well appointed kitchen allowed us to save money by fixing our own meals and the combination door lock meant that we didn't have to worry about having a key with us at all times. If we had to make a suggestion it would be to provide a Keurig coffee maker for the kitchen.

The Breen staff was professional and friendly. We would highly recommend their service generally and this cottage specifically for anyone wanting a perfect get-away.
